66 Hilarious Differences Between Cats And Dogs
Are you a cat person or a dog person? This is a fairly common question that people ask, and while there is no particular reason while you can’t absolutely be both, there is a reason why this query comes up so often.
You see, cats and dogs have fundamentally opposite personalities that can naturally lead to very different relationships with their humans. Cats are usually more independent, cunning and don’t particularly need your love and affection. On the other hand dogs are more social creatures, playful, friendly and dare we say it, a little dumb at times.
What better way to illustrate the many different experiences of cat and dog owners than a cleverly created comic? We here at Bored Panda have compiled a list of comics that we think perfectly sum up the quirky habits of our pooches and pussycats, we hope you’ll find them as hilariously true as we did. Let us know what you think in the comments below!

I have a cat that drools puddles. He's a big baby that needs to be held daily. You have to lie in bed on your side where he flops on his back and you hold him in your arm and he'll nuzzle his head into your armpit/ chest and starts to drip drool the entire time while falling asleep. And when he gets really comfortable, he stretches his entire body straight and ends up almost half your body length.
I recently bumped my toe on a table and the cat immediately rushed to comford me and didn't leave before I stopped laying on the couch, whimpering in pain.
Cats always approach me. I don't know why. It might be because my cat loves to destroy all of my clothes with her shedding fur
The cat one is missing a cat that is too big for the box. The walls of the box are being stretched so much it looks as if any movement could cause the box to burst.
I've never seen a dog that wouldn't eat both bowls of food if they were right next to each other.
Once again, my dog sleeps on our faces, around our necks, or with her head under our shirts (yep). Like a cat. I think she forgot to read the dog memo.
Nope nope and nope... this is how my dog eats food. When I grab something to eat he is staring at me "mom you know that is my favourite"
My dog loves the laser pointer! I can make her run after it for hours and if the red dot stops moving, she pounces on it. Maybe my dog is a cat in disguise??
Cats need not the approval or appreciation that we humans can - and often do - show as they beleive us to be inferior creatures. As we speak, cats are not only disrespecting our role but also taking over our luves, capital and internet. This is why one should always respect cats but also show dominance by tackling them in their specialized feild: Class of society and sophistication.
I am Dutch, so i had to look up the translation of budgie... gnarg gnarg very funny (Dutch mean grin, well kinda)
Cats are attracted to drinking automobile anti-freeze because they interpret Propylene glycol as sweet. It is however deadly. Recent studies indicate IN vodka can reverse the toxicity.
Yeah, its funny how crazy some people get over this subject! U can love one over the other or even both of them! The main thing is, to love them!
My cat once got hold of some dry dog food (it's a long story) and boy oh boy did she ever fart from it.
My three cats come to me meowning like crazy. This is not right. They want us all the time after we come back home.
Nop. Domesticated dogs can equally bite you and draw blood. Trained dogs won't do that. But if you train your cat, it won't do that as well.
Most of these comics are funny and accurate, but I feel that there is a clear pattern of reinforcing the existing prejudice against cats. I know it's supposed to be humorous, but still... Cats are very misunderstood creatures, fully capable to love and bond with humans ♥
True, this is just another "dogs are humans best friends" and "cats are jerks" post...
It's so sad, because they are really very loving and affectionate animals. Ok, maybe they're not clingy and attention seekers like dogs, but they know how to love.
Agree with all of you. I have both, cats and dogs, and... they are besties (beasties :p) ! I don't know why people think you can't pet a cat on their back, belly etc... Mine are totally cool and loving cats, always purring, waiting for us the evening after work... just like Hari Onago's one and yours...
Jokes aside, I completely agree and it has been bothering me for a time now because those among us who have cats, joke about it but those who distrust cats, actually tend to believe it. Many people who adore dogs seems to abhor cats, even though most have never had a cat… My cat is very lovable and gentle, knows more tricks than any dog I've met, waits for me every day at the door, reads my moods at once, always knows when I'm sick or feeling down and comforts me, and constantly seeks my company whether she is hungry or not. Stray cats usually get much more abused than stray dogs and maybe these kind of jokes, while honestly funny, can be pernicious towards cats and feed into the ongoing prejudice. The main problem with these jokes (that I, myself partake on) is not only the stereotypes or even plain fallacies, but the fact they pit dogs against cats, always elevating the dog as the unattainable ideal the cat should aspire to be. But why hate cats for not being dogs?
