Father-Of-Three Realizes He Can’t Keep Up With His Children, Transforms His Body Beyond Recognition In 6 Months
A 39-year-old man has decided to completely change his life around to become a better father and husband to his family. In just six months, his determination and hard work have already achieved results so unbelievable, his family hardly recognize him.
In August, Montana-based antiques dealer Jeremiah Peterson went on a backpacking trip to a mountain lake with his children. “Instead of remembering all the good memories we had made on this trip all I can remember is this one thing that kept playing in my head over and over again,” Jeremiah wrote on his Instagram. “I found myself running out of breath and having to take breaks way before my 9, 7, and 6-year-old kids.”
Combining a strict keto diet and intensive regular working out regime, the man began his body transformation. “Don’t be afraid of it, don’t hide from it. Stare your fat ass in the face and choose who is going to win.” For half a year, he spent two hours hiking and an hour in the gym daily. Losing 82 pounds because of his healthy lifestyle, Jeremiah went from size 42 in jeans to a 33.
“I went from having a real dad bod to having a college kid’s physique,” Jeremiah told Daily Mail. “The weight loss made everything better, my hair and skin look healthier, you can see my jawline instead of chubby cheeks and I have abs.”
Jeremiah credits his beloved children with inspiring him to make changes to his lifestyle, and health problems, too. “It transforms not only your physical self but the way you think and feel, as well as the future you want for your family. I know if I can do it anyone can.”

With three kids that age I'm astonished he has any time, let alone 3 hours, to work out every day.
Diet has a lot to do with it too though. Time to google KETO diet.
A Keto diet is really not healthy. Keto completely restricts yourself from carbohydrates. You need a good balance of protein, essential fats, and carbohydrates to maintain a good healthy diet. The same, or similar results can be achieved without going on a strict keto diet.
That's not true @TommyDAQ. Keto, done properly (which is not difficult), can be a very healthy diet and has benefits beyond potential weight loss (stable energy levels, improved sleep, boosted immune system, healthier skin... etc.). Carbs are not an essential macronutrient, only fat and protein are; a person can get the nutrients they need on a low carb diet by making make good food choices with the carbs they do eat. True, weight loss can be achieved from other types of diets. However, the advantage Keto can provide is that a body "rewired" to primarily burn fat as a fuel source can swiftly switch between using consumed fat & stored body fat for energy. This significantly lowers hunger levels (without the need for appetite suppressants) and allows a person, if they choose, to easily eat at a calorie deficit, which is the key to weight loss. Keto is muscle-sparing, a person can retain pretty much all their lean body mass with calorie deficits by eating adequate protein.
It's not that hard. Pretty basic. More protein, veggies, fruit and less sugar and carbs. Carry snacks (coconut, bars, almonds or fruit) with you so you won't cheat with fast food.
Ryan Ex is right. A keto diet is likely the best way to lose weight quickly (I lost 30% body weight on keto). Any diet with significant levels of carbs will *inhibit* fat-loss. Couple of notes about keto: You would still be eating leafy greens and non-starchy veggies. Proteins are also kept to a modest level (15% of total calories) -- keto should *not* be considered synonymous with the Atkins diet. As for whether a keto diet is healthiest long-term is for the medical specialists to determine. Being obese is a grave health risk so you should make fixing that your top priority. When I read about healthiest diets, I question why they do not categorize them according to the patient's goals/needs, e.g., the keto diet paired with intermittent fasting to swiftly lose the weight, *then* low-carb mostly-plant-based to maintain ideal weight. There are different diets which can be more effective/suitable than others at managing the stages of your weight plan.
Divorced/separated maybe? Doesn't have the kids during the week, plenty of time to exercise and motivation to keep himself busy
The average American watches five hours of TV per day. Google it. That's why they are averagely the most obese people on earth. So if they find time for that, then they can find time for exercise.
Health is 90% food and 10% exercise. Spending a little bit of extra time in the gym is a small investment compared to the extra health and quality time you get in return. Do at least 30 minutes of moderate exercise per day, get years of healthy life and many happy memories in return.
I agree. I thought the 2 hours of hiking and the 1 hour of exercise DAILY had to be a mistake. How lucky he is to have all that time to primp. I'm going to look into becoming an antique dealer! Good job, but not exactly a role model.
i don't think the hiking is daily, but maybe I misunderstood. If you are determined, you can find the time and sleep less or whatever it takes. Also, maybe wife is stay at home mom. That would help! He did it though and please don't call it "primping." Styling your hair is primping. Exercise is LIFE!
The average American watches around five hourse of television every single day. So by just cutting oput TV he could get in his workout mevery day and still spend two more hours doing something productive. To avoid being away from his kids he could do an hour or two in the morning before work. And take the kids to a class most night at the sports centre while he does his workout. He could then do a run every night with the kids and dogs. His kids would be fitter better at sport and their grades would improve from the good health and focus.
Susan, I have one toddler, one job, and I already sleep too little. To find three extra hours every day just to work out, I'd have to focus solely on that - no time to rest, no time to play with my kid, no time to talk with my wife. Oh, and going to the gym costs money, while I can barely scrape together enough to get us through the month. Got some sage advice from me? Other than "stop being poor and overworked", obviously.

Obviously he’s sticking the Children’s mother with the care taking responsibility. Yay for men who always get accolades for using their society expected free time in whichever way they want 🙄
You also have no idea how this man may have adjusted his schedule to accommodate such a lifestyle change. Perhaps he's now getting up at 5 AM instead of sleeping 'til 8. He may be doing his hike before the kids get up, and doing his strength training after the kids are in bed. Why try to condemn a man for making a positive change? Give the guy the benefit of the doubt! Be positive, my friend!
Way to completely miss the point.
Every American claiming that he is a bad guy for taking three hours to work out each day when the average American watches FIVE hours of TV a day. Google it! That's why they are the most obese people on earth. so not only making excuses for being lazy but attacking a man for not being lazy.
oh look; an asshole 'feminist'
