Water plays a very important part in our lives and most birds, in particular, depend on water for their daily food and means of survival.

Whether it is a Kingfisher diving into rivers/ponds for fish or a Heron waddling around for frogs, it is amazing to see how these birds spend their lifetime on coasts, riverbanks, or even small ponds to just freshen up and fly.

These images are from all my travel last year. I hope you enjoy this series. In case you missed it, here are my Costa Rica, Ecuador, Peru, Colombia, Brazil, and India birds editions.

All photos were taken with my trusted Canon 1Dx Mark ii and 600 mm lens.
