16 Quarantine Portraits That I Took With A Drone To Show Everyone That It Can Be Fun
I took my drone and photographed people in their homes through their windows and on their terraces. It's a 100% zero-human-contact way to see how people are going crazy during quarantine isolation times.
When Lithuania went under quarantine, all my photography jobs in advertising were canceled, events postponed or canceled, and I was sitting without any job and thinking, "what the heck is going on and how can I solve this puzzle?" Eventually, I knew that I needed to take some interesting photos, but this social distance thing was a tricky thing. At first, I thought of offering to shoot people with a telephoto lens, but then I remembered I use a drone in my wedding photography and drone photography is a totally zero-human-contact way to capture things. I shot a few of my friends, the photo ideas gained a lot of likes, and the project took off.
I started this photo series to give people a chance to brighten their day in this negative corona information environment. I believe that these funny photos remind everyone that sitting quarantined at home can be fun too. And, of course, to remind everybody that you need to keep your social distance during these times.
Update: All of these hilarious photos were taken with consent and I have permission from these interesting people to share their images.

Did aliens bring covid 19 and I missed it or what? Is that why they are wearing aluminum hats?
They're playing either knights or vikings and those are helmets. The kids are holding a sword each.
Load More Replies...Amazing way to keep kids occupied hats off to them.
Fake sun, fake grass, fake cloud, fake flower; imagination pulls us through almost anything.
That would make a great song! Bing Crosby would be jealous!
Load More Replies...Can't tell if they have blue pavers or painted them blue. Even goes all the way to to the driveway...And Beyond.
They live just in front of me :) It's quite common for them to get out like that for a morning coffee, weather permitting.
Load More Replies...It's the mortuary crowds to worry about, not hospitals. Clean.
Load More Replies...Without the dog, good idea to get vitamin d. Not for me, though.
Carmen Miranda's Ghost https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D5p8YhhaVlA
Load More Replies...This would be good, plus they have the most important supply-puppy!
Oh no! Don't wait the toilet paper! It's almost worth more than gold theses days... Certainly more useful! XD
oooh I like this one too. kudos to mom for teaching them to find their zen.... :)
What is the guy on the right doing with his laptop? Trying to read from the sun glare? Wonder where it came from ;)
I think he's having a "team meeting" but in his knickers instead of trousers!
Load More Replies...I strait up thought that there was a fat woman , mostly naked sitting with people in coats and hats
Wow they have a bunch of windows.. And a round room. I'd like to see the inside.
At least they have their family during the quarantine
Has anyone else noticed that every single family has exactly 2 children?
OMG the brickwork.....They need to step slowly away and call for a specialist to fix it before the window falls out along with them.
Needs a bit of re-pointing to be sure, but they've got plenty of mortar to keep that window in place!
Load More Replies...I though these were going to be creepy, but the people are all hamming it up. Fun.
I agree, I almost didn't click through because it sounded weird and uncomfortable, but these are fantastically fun portraits.
Load More Replies...It's lovely to see how people are embracing their silly side. And good for you for using a drone, instead of thinking it's "cool" to walk around deserted streets, like some idiot pandas are doing.
What's the problem with walking the streets? As long as you're keeping your distance, walks are still permitted and encouraged! How else should people in cities get their daily fresh air and movement?
Load More Replies...Really great idea. Wonderful photos. And I love the picture of the soldiers chilling on the patio!
Am I the only one who thinks this is kind of creepy? If a random drone flew up and started taking pictures of me my first instinct would not be to pose and smile.
They might know him. Or he might've just posted online what he was doing. The outfits in some imply that they knew they'd be having pictures taken
Load More Replies...I think it's interesting to see the difference in how people decided to get ready for this. Some people picking out outfits and poses and getting full on ready, where others seem to just be living their lives and wearing what they'd be wearing anyway. Specifically the ones in robes just getting their food ready. Love it.
Everyone looks so happy to have a camera drone fly past their window. I think I would freak out!
My brother, his wife and their 2 kids (2 & 6) live in a tiny two bedroom apartment in St. Louis. Sister-in-law is a major extrovert. They're both trying to work from home, entertain their toddler and homeschool their 6 year old all in that incredibly small apartment. I honestly don't know how they do it. I have 2 kids around the same age, but we live in a house on a 40 acre farm. Tomorrow we're going to go on a nature walk in the pasture with the baby goat. Can't really do that in an apartment complex in a big city. I'd run out of ideas and patience within days.
It all depends on what you are used to. Friends of mine with kids are just trying to get out into nature as well, going for walks or driving into the forests with their two little ones. We live in Berlin, but you can drive out a bit if you have a car (which they luckily do).
Load More Replies...Ironically, many people are getting to live a happy life among people they love. Silver linings
Excellent outlook! Thanks for the reminder. Stay Well!
