Dad Hides Money In His Daughter’s House Whenever He Visits, And Here’s Where She Found It So Far
Parents find a lot of ways to constantly remind their children about their love, but this dad is raising the bar for everyone. He uses his super stealth skills to hide a little something inside his daughter’s house whenever he visits, and her everlasting treasure hunt looks like the best!
From the top of the cupboard to the inside of a bag, each time this dad hides a dollar bill, it’s somewhere else. “I live close to him and he sees me regularly. We’re buddies,” the daughter said. “He usually doesn’t leave another until I find one.”
She thanks her loving father by cooking him huge meals. Dinner aside, the dad is avoiding a simple “thank you” or anything else that would acknowledge his sneaky gifts. “He just likes getting the pics and sends back the sunglasses guy.”
“Sometimes my dad hides money for me in random places”
“He never lets me know when he’s done it”
“He’s a sweet weirdo”

Share on FacebookI just love the fact that it's neither a huge amount of money neither a small one, it's just enough to enjoy both the money and the gesture. But most of all I love his acting "wow you should find a better place to put cash" made me laugh xD. Best dad and idea ever.
My Dad died at 86 pretty suddenly and when I cleaned his apartment, he had hidden money for me to find with a note here and there. Mostly 5's. He had been doing it for years.
So sweet. I'm sorry for your loss. My dad is gone, too. But, we had great fathers and that's a lot to be thankful for.
Load More Replies...My husband makes so much more money than he ever thought he'd ever make in his life. It actually makes him blush to say his salary out loud. (I make him donate to a variety of charities to ease the guilt) Does that stop his Grandma from slipping a five into his hand every time we visit? No. He always says "Grandma, no! I don't need this'". And of course she old and on social security etc. But she insists, says go get a candy bar or something. I think it makes her remember how she'd do the same thing when he was little so it takes her back. Either way, it makes her happy, that's all that matters. She's a doll and we love her to bits.
That dad is a sweetheart. That's a real father: he knows his daughter can make it on her own, but he will always protect his little girl. I love this man! I love him! Thank you for being a great dad!
Love this dad, i feel like those smiley faces are only getting bigger and bigger every time she finds one.
My mom does that when she visits me. Dad used to simply send me to buy him stuff under 2 dolars and made me keep the rest... and usually gave me 20 dollar bills to make the purchase ...ahhh childhood memories.
That's a very fun loving, kind, considerate father you have. Hope you found a cool way to let him know what you think of him. Maybe leaving thoughtful notes around his house. You are very blessed.
It's nice to leave notes and money. Then you know they thought of you. And they know you thought of them.
This is just so sweet <3 Btw, love that yarn ;) which brand was it? :crochetaddict: :D
Are these different currencies or has the look of the $ 20 note changed? What a loving gesture from your dad.
My Dad used to do this when I was a broke uni student. Best hiding place was the medicine cabinet. I left everything I used regularly out on the counter so I didn't find it for a month.
my significant other would come over to my apartment when we first started dating. I felt bad that she would spend her gas money to come to see me, so I'd slip a loose 20 or two into her purse, usually where she wouldn't notice it right away and I'd never tell her I did it. She never spent them either, she deposited them in the bank....after a year, I'd given her $1k.
Maybe I should start doing this for my sister-in-law. We're always invited to her place for dinners, but she never lets me bring anything. I've been bringing her gifts every time we go, but I'm running out of ideas.
"It's the little things that count!" I have the hugest smile on my face:) Thank you for sharing. You might even promote others to do the same. That is the biggest compliment of all.... when others mimic you. ! Awesome Post! Thank you! :)
If my kids happen to see this; sorry, it ain't happening don't waste your time.
I do something like the same. Twist 20 buck in straw on put it in Kinder egg shell, or jus twist it in tissue, or just slide it in his pocket so he will find it later :))))
You’d better hide you vibrator in a really, really good place where he will never find it. Sorry, I had to say it.
That's a great idea, cool dad. It could be worse, at least he's not hiding rotten eggs for you to find. ;-)
Ahh the classic story of a father trying to make up for neglecting his children for 20 years. please like me please like me please like me. you're my favorite daughter, i love you so much please like me heres 20 dollars.
Damn, you're right. Maybe we should call the police. This is serious s**t.
