Labradors and Golden Retrievers are the most popular dogs in so many countries across the world, and it’s easy to see why. They are loads of fun, people-oriented, obedient yet curious and have a sharp intelligence that still shines through beneath their hilariously goofy nature.
Originating in Newfoundland, where they were first bred to help fishermen and hunters retrieve their nets and catch, Labradors are now commonly used as guide dogs and comfort animals for the disabled. Golden Retrievers are very similar to Labs, with slight differences between British, American, and Canadian types. They are all high-energy dogs, so they need plenty of exercise! They do love a cuddle as well though, and are always eager to please their humans. That's why we love them so much!

After an organ transplant I was moved to an in patient physical rehab hospital. They had several therapy dogs. Some went to the rooms of the immobile patients and once a week in the music room they had a Goldie a small group got to play w for an hour. I was so excited for my first day. But I wasn't allowed bc my immune system was so weak. I probably looked like a lunatic with my nose against the window out in the hallway sobbing and watching everyone having the best time ever lol cruel! So many Goldie puppies!

I wish all workplaces had office dogs! Do you know how much less stressful it would be if this face came up to you after a particularly difficult customer/ coworker or meeting?

At my school one of the teachers always brings her dog in. Every body knows and loves Molly and she is considered the school dog/ mascot!

I guess humans with allergies are less important than humans who want to pet a dog for 1 minute a day at work. It'll get to the point where if you have allergies, you won't be able to fly, your work options will be limited, and you'll get sick at half the public stores and such that you go to. Awesome. Imagine feeling like you have a cold EVERY DAY OF YOUR LIFE. And imagine if that didn't have to be the case.....

Isn't this the BEST trend in businesses now! If every business would allow GOOD dogs in the workplace they would be shocked at the improvement in employee moral, increased production, decreased stress and illness. And this is proven in research, not just off the top of someone's head. Its something that should have been done decades ago.

You wouldn't realize by the much higher % of Golden retriever photos that Labs are by far the more popular breed.
