This Couple Was Flying To NY And Apparently, Their Cat Decided To Go With Them
Nick and Voirrey Coole – a couple from Isle Of Man, the United Kingdom – had scheduled their 40th birthday celebrations in New York. However, they received a surprise none of them were expecting. As Nick and Voirrey were heading for Big Apple, they were stopped by airport security for the most hilarious reason. Turns out, their cat Candy had climbed into their hand luggage only to be discovered by airport security.

The married couple expected their bags to smoothly pass through scanners, however, staff noticed something unusual. Nick and Voirrey Coole couldn’t believe their eyes when their cat named Candy casually climbed out of their suitcase as they were taken into a side room and questioned by the airport staff about the discovery. Nick told the media: “Our hand luggage didn’t have much in so we could bring shopping home. But Candy, our cat, found a way in and off to the airport we all went. Airport security were all very puzzled and repeatedly asked if the bag was ours after it had been through the scanner.”
The pair appreciated the airport staff for being lighthearted about the hilarious incident

Nick took to Facebook and wrote: “You know that feeling when you get ushered into a side room at airport security because you’ve got a cat in your hand luggage? Candy decided to sneak into our hand bag, thanks Barry and Lorna for picking her up so we can head off on our holiday. Fair play to airport security for helping to get her home so we could catch our flight.”
Luckily, Candy’s collection was arranged and Nick and Voirrey headed off to New York

The couple had said that the staff at Isle of Man airport was ‘awesome’, as once they realized that it was a genuine mistake, they all had a good laugh about it. Candy was picked up by Nick and Voirrey’s friends and the couple was able to catch their flight to the US.

Share on FacebookTo those of you who don’t buy the story... have you ever owned a cat? Those suckers are tricky. If these people left the zipper on their carry-on slightly open, a cat will totally go inside. Also, their kitty is pretty small so it probably doesn’t weigh much. Never underestimate a cat.

I once had an appointment to the vet with one of my cats. He was a lot of trouble to get in the crate but I managed and off we went. Arrived there, I realized a second one was in as well and I never saw her getting in..... So yes, this could very well be true!

Amy, it's true, I live on the Isle of Man, it was all over the local news when it happened. Bet it caused a laugh at our little airport. They got friends to come and collect the cat and the staff looked after her till their friends got there.
Load More Replies...Whether or not this actually happened, it's a pretty darn cute story. That cat is so adorable and I am glad they had someone to come pick her up. With the negative stuff out there, this brightened my day a little bit.
Fortunately, my greyhounds aren’t small enough to fit in our luggage, but if they could, I do believe they’d try.
I have had cats my entire life. When I am packing for a trip, I know that they sense that I am leaving. I had one cat that would not let me near her whenever I returned for at least a week because she was so mad. I have had to learn to keep my bags closed until I put everything in there because all of my cats would lay in my bags if they were opened. They love to find cozy little spots to sleep.
My cat is very quiet generally and goes completely silent when freaked out.

The Isle of Man is not in the UK but it is one of the British Isles, It has its' own government, tax system and laws. Confusing for you Americans who refer to Queen Elizabeth as ' Queen of England'?
A guy I know accidentally immured his cat behind drywall he was installing in his own home. Got desperate and consulted a psychic, who said, ''I see something soft and pink but kitty's not safe'', while the guy ran out the door and grabbed his claw hammer once back home. He got the cat out before dehydration set in.
I once went to a train ride with a cat in my backpack. He had climbed in and I noticed in the bus to the station - went back home, missed a lecture. Didn't open until I was home because he may have freaked out during heavy urban traffic ... didn't want to chase a freaking-out cat in that situation... Later, when I had to work somewhere else and only was home on weekends, he placed himself in my suitcase and cried like he didn't want me to leave ... I didn't want to either, but had to.
