I think this is an example of how I WOULD be impressed, and clearly a lot of people on this post have no idea of why she was hired. I don't want to be sexist here, but I'm guessing a lot more women than men would relate positively to this.

Folks; you cannot "TEACH" toddlers/preschoolers/ and kids up to about the age of 8 not to drink/eat this stuff and think that it will keep them safe. Any more than you should leave steam radiators in your house uncovered, because you "taught" your 1.5 year old not to touch it (after I warned my neighbor about this, he's just; "oh, we've taught him not to touch it. Two months later; Second -degree burn, ER, etc." PLEASE study up on brain development in little kids. Put ALL dangerous items (guns, poisons, which include dishwasher pods/cleaning materials VERY high up; ideally in locked containers or containers VERY difficult to open; remember they can pull stools to use, climb shelves, etc. )

so, really interesting theory; so many of the the immigrants who came voluntarily to the US were those capable of being extraverted, willing to try to new things and venture into the unknown. there's a theory that much of our gene pool reflects this trait, AND that it's much higher in folks here than in most other countries.

I had both my parents do this (as did my husband.) They loved being included this way (and it was very poignant for me, as my did was well into his Alzheimer's , but still was very present for the wedding)....I was married at, shall we say, an advanced age, and in no way did I feel they were giving me away; it was just a wonderful way to include them in the ceremony.

This depends on where you live, most of these don't apply to my culture. In my country the bride and groom make their entrance together for both the civil and church marriage ceremonies. There is no giving away of the bride as part of the marriage ceremony itself.
