Why does it look like the decorative edge on the bodice of the dress digs into her body on the right? That's not accurate to how a dress like this would be constructed. It is a decorative edge (the bodice is separate from the skirt) and not an elastic waistband. You don't want the edge of the bodice digging into your hip.
