I, for one, have been waiting forever for a new Mortal Kombat movie (rebooted the right way). I heard James Wan is attached to this title and if that's the case it is in good hands.

Man, I don't how what yall talking about, but coming from a guy that was 10 years old when MK first came out, scorpion said that s**t pretty cool and realistic. Not to mention sub-zero! This movie looks badass regardless of what "critics " say. I wasn't aware of the trailer today I get knew about the tailor from this blog https://www.xfire.com/ that the movie got delayed. so sad

Seeing him in the Doom film, I do think that he has the charisma to make this role something more than a generic bad guy and of course the build to pull it off.

I think he'd have the closest you could get to the right build without getting a serious bodybuilder, who would probably be worse at acting. He wouldn't be my first pick either, but I can't think of any actors with a better build for Shao Kahn considering how wide the guy is.

Nah, Chris Pratt lacks edge. Johnny Cage says some super cheesy stuff, but he always struck me as someone who thought he was cool and acted like it, could live up to that impression. Whenever I see Chris Pratt I see a guy I can't take seriously.

This is an awesome concept, but I'd like to see Andy Serkis be cast as Baraka. He's got a lot of creepy creatures under his belt, e.g. Gollum, Snoke, etc.

I feel like with all the make-up and prosthetics it would require, Baraka could essentially be played by "any given bald guy", and even then, hair can be covered up...

The big problem is that Ronda Rousey isn't very good at acting as far as I've seen (admittedly not much, but she hasn't been in a ton of movies). She has the build for it, but I'm even hesitant about her doing Sonya's voice acting for the upcoming game.

That's a weird choice. Wouldn't Smoke be more of an action-based character that would largely require a martial artist / stunt person to be in a lot of costume anyway? I tend to think of Mikkelsen more of a ... drama actor.
