This is sweet and lovely and I adore the kitty- but does anyone else find it odd that grandma is hold the entire oven rack rather than just the cake pan?
Sometimes it's easier to get out the whole thing than trying to grab on to a slippery cake mold.
Load More Replies...With this picture I can think, and remember about the taste of gnocchis that mi grandmother used to cook for my and my sister, in her flat.
Those pleasant and glorious smells get imprinted in our memory, dont they?
Oh my gosh my grandma baked me and my sister some stuff like cakes and stuff
This is intended to be cute, but it's actually scary. An animal that has lost its fear of people is probably rabid. I'd be telling that little girl to ruuuuun!
Load More Replies...Back in childhood, i was always curios about "the outside world", especially wild animals. I used to fall in love with wolves and foxes, idk just found them atractive to me
Ah ... I so wish this were a childhood memory of mine! It’s full of joy! There were eight of us and my Dad worked all the time. When he was around, he couldn’t allow himself, or us, to relax and simply play. It’s the thing I regret most about my childhood — and why I play now.
Yess evry kid should have a close relationship to their parents this is SOO cute.
My dad used to work all day and we didn't spend much time together on weekdays. But Sundays were different. I would jump all over his bed while he was trying to take a nap. He must have been very tired and willing to sleep but he let me jump all the same. Eventually, I got tired and lay on him just as the picture shows. Then we went to sleep peacefully together. Thanks for this memory!
Falling asleep in the car and my Grandpa carrying me in the house :'( Soooo missed :-(
Not so for many of us. My father abandoned us without a second thought or any child support.
Load More Replies...What good memories! I remember when I came back from school in Autumn and the whole street was full of tree leaves.. I used to walk and jump on them.. when I became an adult, I stopped to do it because I was afraid of hurting myself with something hidden in the leaves. Childhood.. the best period of life.
When my kids were small we discovered the world together. Rock and leaves and ants rain. It was a wonderful time.
This reminds me of a similar memory I have. In a hot summer day, my cousin, myself, and some of our little rascal friends went to an orchard with cherry trees, to steal those ruby sweet treats. We got caught and chased away, but never in my life have I tasted cherries as good as those. It's as if I can still feel the sun burning on my skin and the smell of the dusty roads, 30 years later.
Now days, parents are accused of child abuse if they let their kids run free. I'd leave the house at 7 in the morning and wouldn't come inside until dinner. I had a thousand things to do as a kid!
When kids actually used to play outside. And the days where mum would give you a backpack filled with sandwiches and an apple or two and say, "make sure you're home by dinner". I never had a watch, how did we all know when dinner was?!
I would so be the one to not make the jump and fall and ruin the WHOLE thing.
my grandpa would make coffee this way, and make us hot chocolate so we could sit together and drink!
I would drink coffee with my grandpa :D Although when I was really young it was mostly milk.

Ate c**p load of candies, chocolates, mom found out, hid them, still nothing could stop the silly me... got a painful toothache, mom was mad, i was sad, then we both forgot what happended while chillin in cinema...... damn what a fool i am, took over 10 years to relise mama's love was sweeter than any kind of sweets on the Earth, now im eatin a lolipop, tryna feel that magical sweetness again, but it's tasteless...
I love this picture even though my bike riding memories leave a lot to be desired 😏
If they're like mine that involve crashing in gravel and being bitten by the neighborhood dog, I can understand.
Load More Replies...I loved riding a bike, but I had 1 unpleasant memory. Someone gave us used bikes, and my younger sister decided she wanted mine. So they made me switch. So then I had a bike that was way too small for me, and she had 1 that was too big for her. I still don't understand why that happened.
OMG! It's funny you say that because my son is totally into Non Non Biyori.
Load More Replies...Oh wow! I remember as a little kid, all of the neighborhood kids would be playing outside all day. We knew it was time to go home when the street lights came on (our curfew). I would give anything to go back to those days
So much better than butts on a sofa in front of video games... THIS is how friendships are forged.
Our daughters were born in the UK and grew up on an island on the west coast of Scotland ... This is their/our childhood in a painting. I 💕 Scottish rain!
this is so beautiful. It honestly makes me smile. Everything about is perfect. The setting, the people, the plane and the feelings.
Me too, but at first I thought the plane is going to crash down (to much news, I guess)
Load More Replies...awww this is like me and my dad watching the red arrows at the F1 @ Silverstone this year!! That's a nice memory
I remember watching a video with my Dad in which Alvin Melvin "Tex" Johnston did a barrel roll in the test flight of a Boeing 707. That guy had some guts.
Welp this is the last picture, put my phone down, drink a glass of water, take a deep breath, and go outside. Just one more time, my childhood... i want to feel you
This looks so idyllic, I want to enter that world. And now I'm crying because I rarely ever had something like this.
You aren't alone at all! My husband goes on and on about his great childhood. He really doesn't get that most of us didn't!

Awww, I recently asked my old time friend this, "Did we know that childhood was over?"
Load More Replies...I can relate to so many of these...previously forgotten memories have surfaced, looking at these beautiful illustrations. Thank you. <3
Wow, author of those pictures has really an incredible skill at depicting the right feel of the pictured scenery. Great work!
Make me smile too - I had a semi-rural childhood - last house on the road out of town. All the fields streams and hilllsides around my house were my playground(not our land) I knew all the animals by sight and they knew me. No dense dark mossy patch of woodland too scary. Shame I didnt appreciate how wonderful it was at the time
Honestly I haven't seen lighting used this well in any artwork in a long time. Great work.
Well that sure did work for me. Scenes from my own childhood flashing back from 55~60 years ago. And the emotions too. And my current emotions. (Damn you!) Props for the beautiful art; the light, the soft colours and simplicity.
