Throughout the 90s, photographer Peter Aitchison lived it large amongst the London’s A List. As official studio photographer for popular TV shows The Big Breakfast and Big Brother, Peter locked eyes through his lens with stars including Will Smith, Tom Cruise, Britney Spears, Sean Connery and Samuel L Jackson.

Now living in the rural High Peak in Derbyshire, where he runs a gallery, Peter is increasingly recognised for his striking travel photography. With a learned eye for portraiture and candid street scenes, recent trips to India, Cuba, Istanbul and Myanmar have provided rich material.

Susan Eyres, co-owner of Greater Manchester’s Gateway Gallery, where Peter has a solo show from 18 May-1 June 2019, said: “Peter’s portraits from the streets are bold, yet honest; proud and vulnerable. They are already attracting a lot of attention and we are looking forward to sharing more of them.”
