Not true. The effect is temporary - your pores go back to normal as soon as your skin reaches its regular temperature.

I used this extensively when studying in school. This really works!

This works on bug bites too. The deodorant MUST contain aluminum. I work for a major cancer hospital. Doing this will NOT cause cancer, but I do not recommend using antiperspirant with aluminum under your arms.

I think that doing anything that makes you believe the pain is mitigated will mitigate the pain. If has also been shown that people who do sports regularly better endure pain, even though the pain in the same. The mind if quite powerful!

Personally, I suck on sugar free cough drops. However, tickling could also be due to the growth of bacteria or inflammation of the larynx. Gargling with warm water and sea salt will help in this case too, because sea salt is a natural antiseptic and promotes healing

Sneezing is your body's way of removing an irritation from your nose. A sneeze works by "resetting the system—like Control-Alt-Delete" on a PC. For gosh sakes.... go ahead and sneeze!!

This is a fail beyond measure. It would have more helpful to recommend dipping your head in ice water

I have chronic nonstop headaches with migraines thrown in there as a cherry on top. Unfortunately I have tried the ice water hand trick and I didn't find any relief. What I have found that helps is peppermint essential oil on the forehead, behind the ears, and back of the neck. It doesn't make it go away but it at least makes it a little more bearable. Maybe it will help someone else. Xx

I wanna add something for this advice. Here it is: "Put your hands in ice water or a really cold water after a training session. This will burst your strength and you can continue training for nearly 45 minutes." This gives 30 minutes at least for me.

A pain killer and some ice on the forehead while in a dark and silent room helps me to get better.

i recently read that if you give yourself a brain freeze with an ice lolly that will stop the aura, you still get the headache after if you generally suffer with classic migraines but it kills the aura. I've tried it an it works for me (just need a frozen lolly to hand is all!)
