Alessandro Boezio is inspired in human parts like fingers and legs to create contemporary sculptures that look bizarre.

These sculptures are parts of a works’ cycle, which is called “Stranatomie”, game of words for “strange and bizarre anatomies”; this is because man anatomies are influenced by anatomies of genetically modified animals and insects. Each sculpture hides, in an enigmatic way, alchemical symbolisms that represent stories of Greek and Roman legendary figures. The tales narrated in Ovid’s “Metamorphosis” inspire the sculptures represented by Alessandro Boezio.
