How can anyone do such a thing to an animal? Day in court: Guilty as charged. Sentence: 5 years on a chain. He is so beautiful. Such sweet eyes. Thank you for rescuing him, saving his life, and giving him such a wonderful one. Someone has a very comfortable end of the couch.

It's animal rescue who saved him from his previous "owner". They brought him back to life and prepared for adoption. Then I saw him and I knew he will be mine :)

She curls up against my stomach under the covers every night while I sleep. When I come home from work, she barks until I pick her up. If I don’t hold her for the proper amount of time, she barks until I pick her up again. She decides when I’ve held her long enough. Her former owner went away to prison for child pornography, and I have been her mommy since the day he left and had to abandon his dog.

Doxie!! I have a 13 year old. An ex picked him up from a shelter. His ex-wife was the one who really wanted a dog and when they divorced he was what his ex let my ex have. He didn't really play with him or give him much attention, even before I moved in, I was told. I was instantly attached because I just love dogs. The ex moved out last year to go live with his new partner and left the dog for myself and his mom to take care of. We gave him evidence the dog was very attached to me as I was to him and so as of August last year he has been mine. I couldn't be happier.

You can still see the effects of a traumatic past when you look into their eyes . Georgia has some of the most horrific shelters in America. Thank you for saving them and showing them what it’s like to belong to someone that values them . Like R Carson said , “ I want to hug them “ too .

Thank you all of you for adopting rescues...I had to tell you all that. <3 My baby girl, Bonnie, was dumped at a high-kill shelter by previous owners, for unknown reasons, when she was less than a year old. My big boy, Henry, was rescued after being found chained in a field for God knows how long. He was 43 pounds (19.5 kg) when we adopted him. I try not to think about their backstories, because it makes me cry, especially Henry's. We spoil them like crazy...they deserve it. <3

We had a Henry, greyhound, the shelter had to keep him 7 months before he was fit to re-home. They wouldn't let us see the photos they took when they received him. Best and most beautiful hound, rip.

It's horrible that they were dumped. But thank God it was in your Grandma's yard where they were found right away by good people who would give them a good home. Other dumps have tragic endings. Tiger is a perfect name.

We have found out last November that Ginger is in liver failure and he has Triaditis (an incurable disease which involves three major organs). I got a second job so that my cat can afford medical treatment. I would not do any different. Would get a third one if needed! Love him to bits🥰

We adopted Trooper at 10weeks, he is now 5yo. He is what's known as a camp dog as he was rescued from an indigenous community where many of the dogs end up mangy, feral, malnourished and diseased. He is very sensitive and wary but also a big sook and attention seeker.
