Family Accidentally Texts Baby News To Complete Strangers, They Pay Them A Visit And Bring Gifts For The Baby
A typical wrong number text mix-up usually leads to a “sorry” and a “no problem,” but this one was anything but typical. New parents Lindsey and Mark Lashley couldn’t be happier when their baby Cason Knox came into the world. However, they had no idea that while Lindsey was giving birth, Mark’s mother Teresa was texting updates of the progress to a total stranger.

Teresa thought she was sending baby news to family and friends, but there was Dennis Williams’ number as well. He was glad that everything was going well but had no idea who these people were.
However, that didn’t stop him and his brother, Derrick, from congratulating the new parents in person as a random act of kindness.

Mark toldDaily Mail Online that his mother didn’t realize she was texting the wrong number and inviting a stranger up to the room where he and his wife were caressing their new baby boy:
“It was different. I mean, my friend just walked in and said: ‘Some more people are coming down the hallway,’ and we didn’t know who they were and they said, ‘Oh, we’re the ones who got the random text message.’
“The reason it happened was my cousin had a new phone and I guess those boys ended up with her old number.”

Here is the conversation that started everything
Mark said that as soon as they understood what happened, they appreciated the random act of kindness.
“[My mother] thought she was still talking to my cousin, that’s who she thought she was talking to,” Mark added. “I don’t think we would have randomly invited them over or texted the baby announcement but we appreciate it and the gifts. You don’t hear about much compassion in the news anymore.”
People thought the whole situation was as heartwarming as it was funny
We all need more of this. Imagine if the news you were watching were dominated with Good News, and how that would influence society as a whole. I would have nothing against copycats of this! Why do we not talk more about people being nice, decent, helpful than we do in the news? Why is something newsworthy only if it is particularly horrifying?
This one is really wholesome, I don't see anything wrong with it. But what I can see is people doing "nice stuff" for publicity though. You're completely right though, there's way too much negativity on TV, social media, etc. Wholesome stuff like this should be making headlines just as much as everything else.
Load More Replies...That is so sweet and adorable. Kudos to the guys and congrates to the baby even it is an old story as Leah Dickerson mentionned. We are in need of more such beautiful happenings
That's very sweet of them, but I'm barely willing to see my family after I give birth, let alone total strangers... Hope this doesn't become a thing
That's what I was thinking... I barely want the grandparents there.. My downstairs exploded and I ran a freaking marathon.. Nope.. wait a week or so..
