NaCl. One atom of sodium for one atom of chlorine. That's 50/50 and the ratio is 1:1. Although 40:60 is roughly the atomic mass which is what I assume you're referencing, you wouldn't specify it as a ratio. If you had one duck and one elephant you'd still have a ratio of 1:1 not 1:6000.

However, the atomic weight of chlorine is approx. 50% higher than that of sodium, so by mass the ratio is indeed 40:60. Sorry, I am slightly autistic about numbers :). You'd be surprised. You can find online a lot of people whose children were diagnosed with cancer, insisted on 'healthy eating' and 'healing rituals', were then forced to give chemo on court order, but the cancer was too advanced and the child died. It's still the chemo that did, still the evil doctors and companies. It's a tragic delusion.

Not even self-developing or self-maintaining. We need all sorts of nutrients and require regular watering. I wonder what that anti-vaxxer thinks of vitamins and supplements, particularly the new-agey ones, like echinacea. And do they get antibiotics and anti-fungals when needed? What about cold and flu medications, like otc’s and anti-virals? Self-healing, self-developing, and self-maintaining... my a*s.

Yeah, my mom was born in Oklahoma, contracted polio before she was a year old. The polio vaccine wasn't around then. She never got to walk along a beach, wade in the ocean; she never got to hike in the woods on an autumn day; She was never able to run and play with her kids. Although she lived her life to the fullest that her limited physical ability would allow, her later years were filled with constant pain that only increased with time because, like polio, there is not cure for post polio syndrome. How many of these anti- vaxxers have actually witnessed a loved one go through the pain brought on by the diseases that these vaccines will provent? If they had ANY idea... just ANY idea of what a life effect by polio is, not just for the person with it, but my their family, I think they would realize how selfish and irresponsible they are being in not vaccinating their kids.

Tell us why doctors are giving you cancer with vaccines and why they are keeping the many cures of cancer hidden from us

Uhm - for the ignorant - JOurnal of Clinical ONcoloty 2005 - first examination of ALL chemo and ALL cancers for 5 yr survival rate. Chemo is a 97.9% death sentence. Period. No argument possible. So - it doesn't heal. Okay - radiation. Well you see those pics of people who've been horribly burned and have scars all over portions of your body? That is the inside track of your radiation "therapy". The reason that survival rate USED TO BE a 5 yr measure was because chemo and radiation usually cause another cancer about 6-7 yrs out - so they pretend you survived and, just HAPPENED to get another one....

Yep, there are at least a dozen cases a year in the US - mostly in the southwestern states. Prairie Dogs are one of the leading carriers. It's also worth noting that Yersina pestis (the causative agent of plague) is a bacteria not a virus like a number of diseases are. There was a vaccine for the plague, but it wasn't terribly effective so it was discontinued. These days simple antibiotics are pretty effective.

You will probably not die, but people with a weak immune system might, because in the Western world several old, almost eradicated deseases are coming back thanks to people who beliebe vaccinations are superfluous.

I can top you - I'm 42 and I only found recently that I had not had a single vaccination and my parents didn't think this was important information to impart (long story short: I have s**t parents). Needless to say, I'm booking myself in for my shots asap. The list of stupid diseased I can die from is keeping me up at night! I'm sure you should be able to get the small pox vaccination too, if you asked.

DOn't panic though, in the US here is enough in stock to vaccinate the entire country should there be a problem. I'm sure other countries keep up with it as well.

You don't need a smallpox vaccination, it is eradicated in humans and isn't carried by any other species in the wild. Their are 2 samples secured in labs 1 in the CDC in America and 1 in Russia. You will never be exposed, and if you are they'd be releasing the stockpiles of vaccines straight away.

Smallpox was eradicated but 2 samples of the disease still exist. The U.S. Holds one, and Russia the other. Sleep tight. (and yes, that's verifiably the truth)

Smallpox can be called completely eradicated when all the humans that were alive when the last case was recorded have already passed. \viruses have a tendency to stay hidden sometimes. Even then there are labs who have the virus for study. A virus may also be in a frozen subject or who knows were( amber like the DNA in Jurassic Park). We should never risk this cause it should be extinct now

I’m not vaccinated against smallpox, either, since that practice basically stopped in the late 70’s, early 80’s. My sister born in 1973 was vaccinated against it, but I (born in 1977) was not. I also wasn’t allowed by my parents to get chickenpox from my sister when she had it, since I was 19 months old and considered “too young” to risk exposure. Now I’m almost 41, and I’m *way* more worried about old or immune-impaired people with shingles or little kids with chickenpox. At my age, contracting chickenpox could actually kill me....

It's not "coming back" as it was eradicated with the exception of two special, high-security laboratories in the world. After several years, a lot of doctors began to not require a "dead" disease to be vaccinated against anymore. The trouble is, if those few samples are stolen and used in germ warfare....that is where the danger mostly lies.

Think about that for a moment... If they told you vaccination wasn't necessary then how are the anti vaxxers to blame for the small pox coming back? If it's wasn't necessary for you then why should it be necessary for others? I'm not sure you've really thought that through, have you?

They will vaccinate it when you go to an underdeveloped country where they have the disease. But your PCP can get it and give you the vaccine. It may come back to doing smallpox vaccines, because of people that aren’t vaccinated for it coming in torn he USA, or visitors etc. there are still cases of it, here and there but we don’t see it here in the USA. But.. if you are planning on traveling outside of the United States, I’d get informed three months in advance and get the needed vaccines for the diseases in the area you plan to visit. A small pox vaccine would be a mandatory thing, because it travels fast and would cause a huge epidemic. Millions would die. So, even the anti vaccine people, would be mandatorily required to be vaccinated for that.

There was a small breakout a few years ago in TX from our lovely neighbors coming to the US and bringing smallpox with them. It was contained, but it was near the beginning of the antivaccine trend.

No - smallpox disease and death rates were ALWAYS much greater when vaccination occurred. Before the vax - there were never more than 2,000 dead per 2 year cycle in Britain. After the vaxxing - outbreaks started out having 14,000 dead per cycle, then 15,000 dead in the next cycle. Eventually there were 44,000 and 45,000 dying ONLY IN VACCINATED AREAS in the cycles. Sanitation cleaned up the problem. Look up Leicester and how 80,000 parents blocked city hall demanding a stop to smallpox vax - because it killed their children. When L- stopped mandatory vax - it was by far the lowest smallpox disease and death area in the country....

Damn, that's scary. I've never heard of someone having to have their eyes removed because of measles. That's awful. I'm sorry you and your friend had to go through that. I hope your friend lived and was able to have some quality of life. Thank God we now have those vaccines available for our children.

I had measles in 1962. I develop a complication, measles encephalitis, in which the virus gets into the brain. This can be very serious. I was lucky to survive. This was before the MMR vaccine. Around the same time I was sick the young daughter of author Roald Dahl died of the same condition. Antivaxxers are risking the lives of children.
