I Travel Around Europe In Search Of The Most Beautiful Abandoned Places, Here Is What I Found (30 Pics)
I became known for my work on forgotten pianos in abandoned places across Europe. During my requiem for pianos, I sometimes find abandoned places with former owners' personal belongings left behind. It seems as if time had stopped at a specific moment there.
I dive into the spaces that everyone thinks are empty. I wander there for hours on end. The aim of my art is to find those elements of life that people consider to be dead and capture them with my camera.

What is the crow made of? Is it a mural? I love crows, but it is slightly ominous.
Abandoned House In Luxembourg
It's amazing that the furniture was not stolen--that milk pail, the pitcher....
Where did the live flowers come from if the place is abandoned? Makes me thing the whole picture is staged and you're just using the old house as the background.
Hi bob yes it’s plastic flowers and everything was like that when I came in this little house

Abandoned Castle In Italy
The trompe l'oeil painting is amazing... but rather than a "castle", the iconography seems to suggest the Jewish faith, I'm wondering if perhaps some type of ritual bathing space, such as for women after menstruation/childbirth.
It's a Castle with oriental decoration in Tuscany, near were I live. Instead of ''suggesting'', you should do some research. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sammezzano

Abandoned Castle In France
As nicely looking as the image is, that's the worse place and way to put a bathtub for a practical use.
With the grey tones and tub placed in the middle of the room at a jaunty angle, this looks shockingly chic somehow, like in a hotel in a trendy part of Sydney, London, or San Francisco.
Abandoned House In France
Look at those beams in the ceiling - they're enormous. This is no ordinary house.

How high is that ceiling? The doors and furniture look tine in comparison.
The style od the 1800 in Europe was the high celling. Even at the begining of the 20tj century.

The suspension of the couch and chair is tiny compared to the other stuff. Maybe it's a doll house or?

It looks like the chair in Frazier. Now we know where it went when the series ended.
Abandoned Castle In France
The drawing is amazing. But the flag is a new addition, colors are way brighter than they should be, not faded and not dusted at all.
It's also a British flag, why is there a British flag in a French castle. Did the 100 years war mean nothing?

I wonder what the radio says when nobody is around? AM talk or FM rock?
Is this a set up? If it's abandoned then why does the furniture look new... even if it's from the 1960s.

Abandoned Villa In Germany
Do I see a shoe and a liquor bottle on the bed? Something naughty's been happening here.

Wonder if at some point they had a tree in the salon or it grew by himself as mother nature and time took over.
It is popular in Ukraine and CIS to put huge green trees and plants into the hall rooms and salons of hospitals. So it definitely has not grew by himself.)
Load More Replies...Vlad, since it is sitting in a planter, some type of vegetation grew there, could be a seedling from surrounding trees, blew in and grew into something local to the area. But, No doubt, Mother Nature, sure had a hand in decorating here!! All the pictures presented here are gorgeous, for people with imagination!!! Great!!
Abandoned Castle In Italy
At every picture I can only imagine the horror and distress of the people who loved and knew these spaces if they were to return today :(
Yeah it would be awful tocome home and see your house like that

When was the last time a baby was in any of those beds? (And remember the old days when this is what every hospital was like, with the babies all lined up for visitors to see through the window?)

This room alone is bigger than my whole house. Also the optical illusion: is the ceiling going up or connecting the walls?

Amazing work! You have a great eye for those abandond buildings! Stay safe when you go exploring the next time! Some of these places / houses look dangerous..
These are amazing. I would love to be inside those buildings and reminisce about what went on in there. It must’ve been a real treat to be able to visit all these places. Thank you for sharing.
I love seeing abandoned buildings, especially houses but I feel so sad at the same time. All these beautiful places just left to rot :(
I wonder about all those families who walked away or fled or.....couldn't maintain the property. Who owns them now? What will happen to them?
most of the time it's a family heritage problem
Load More Replies...Nice pics, i love these type of places I also like taking pictures of them. I love the feeling I get when I am inside of one. It's peaceful, quite and inspiring. And all places like these have long stories and once you are there you can feel it's story, so if you haven't been to such places, visit one and I am sure you will love it.
Your work is really thought-provoking. It is also beautiful and very respectful of the integrity of places that are no longer cared for. I wish you many more journeys of exploration. Thank you for showing your work here.
I really like these but some of them seem a little off. The pictures still hanging, the furniture, the bathtub that's out of place. I just don't think he walked in and found these places like this. I think some of them were posed. I am now standing by for the hell I'm going to catch.
Thanks. All the places were like that when I came in but yes, maybe somebody move the furnitures before me.
