This one is doing exactly what it was intended to do, pointing out that it would likely be faster to travel by public transportation (TTC - Toronto Transit Commission) than by car. And as a Torontonian, knowing Toronto traffic, this is generally correct (though the TTC has plenty of delays as well).

This is standard Google sponsored ad behaviour (who owns YouTube for anyone who doesn't know). If you search for pizza hut there will be a sponsored ad for domino's at the top of the results, if you search for deliveroo there will be an uber eats sponsored result above it.

You ARE aware I assume, that many people in these programs work full/near full time but their employers either don't offer benefits and pay low, or are purposely milking the safety net to ensure THEY don't have to pay benefits or a living wage...but you're OK with THAT!
