61 Americans Explain Why The USA Is Simply Better, And Their Reasoning Is Something Else
There’s something strangely universal about thinking your country does at least a few things better than everyone else. Maybe it’s the food, the roads, the sports, or some completely ordinary invention you would never imagine living without. Most people keep those opinions to themselves, but Americans have never been particularly shy about making their case.
A quick look at the r/2american4you subreddit shows just how far that confidence can go. We can see them joking, boasting, and making wildly patriotic arguments about everything from everyday life to the country’s supposed superiority over the rest of the world. Some of the takes even sound convincing enough to make you wonder if they are actually kidding.
From hilariously specific claims to unapologetically American takes, these images capture the kind of patriotism that refuses to settle for second place. Scroll down to see some of the best they have to offer.

A military flyover (already a weird event) for a university sports game? Creepy nationalistic b******t.
I can't even comprehend what it is that I'm supposed to be unable to comprehend. So there's that.
A college football (hand egg) game. Never did understand why
Load More Replies...This is that funny game which lgoex on for hours, but the actual playing only lasts a few minutes, right?
It’s unlikely that this would have reached such an extent without World War II. While many dictatorships hold military parades featuring atomic weapons, Americans don’t. However, I believe Trump attempted something similar, but it seems no one showed up. I think people unfairly stereotype all Americans. I don’t follow college football and don’t care that a bomber flying overhead costs over a billion dollars that could help alleviate hunger, homelessness, or soaring inflation.
Can't comprehend that the US can b**b everyone back to the stone age? Something to be so proud of.
Acres of car parking and limited or likely no public transport accessibility? Does not compute.
This is Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The city has a fairly robust transit system and runs a dedicated, and free, shuttle from various points around town to the stadium on game days.
Load More Replies...Can't comprehend that a slow black aircraft is invisible to satellites? Can't comprehend that the stadium is full for such a trivial game? Or can't comprehend how the stadium seating has curved lines like a fingerprint?
Trivial? I'm not a football fan but that is a bowl game.

Most of Atlanta is pretty cosmopolitan, hip, and open-minded. It’s when you get further out of the city limits that you start being around people who have no experience with anyone who isn’t exactly like themselves. Even most of them will be welcoming, however, the most ignorant amongst them will be a problem.

Fahrenheit For Life!
In everyday speech in UK we use Celsius for cold (oo, its sub zero) and Fahrenheit for hot ( god, its it's pushing 90!). Just like we use both the 12 and 24 hour clocks because, and I will say this very slowly for the hard of thinking - we are not easily confused and it's not difficult .... Don't think so. This is way less anti-American than most BP threads.
Load More Replies...I get it, this comes from some reddit full of wee USians that need to make up for their inferiority complex, and BP loves rage bait. I'd rather like to know how far spread these attitude really is in the USA. Do they really think they're the best thing since sliced bread?
No. Most of us love country (perhaps a bit too much), but we fully admit the country's many, many faults. The thing that gets me is that folks on BP will take any and every opportunity to take a dig on the US even if it isn't the subject at hand.
Load More Replies...Most Europeans can comprehend America far better than Americans can comprehend Europe, simply because we are used to travelling to different places that speak different languages and use different money.
Wrong. In all that traveling to different places, you must have never managed to travel to the States—-I mean aside from the tourist traps. Like the real America, the national parks, the non-tourist areas. The US is a completely different experience for anyone coming here from another country (except maybe Canada, because we’re so much alike). The size alone is incomprehensible to them. The clean streets, the safety, the people—-yes, the vast majority of us are actually nice, and will not only welcome you, but also automatically help you out, without even being asked, if you need anything. Not to mention that each state is so different from its neighboring states that it’s like another country, only with a shared language. If you’d ever come over here, and avoid Florida and New York City (the state, as you get farther outside the city, is beautiful) and the other tourist traps, and try visiting the national parks, the small towns, the out of the way places, you would change your tune completely. Don’t rely on the media and the stereotypes they promote. Find out for yourself. Then we’ll talk.
