    Not sure I agree with #19. Something grows "in leaps and bounds" meaning it grows in large jumps. "by" just sounds wrong.

    No, 'by' is the correct form. The leaps and bounds are the increments by which it grows.

    NGL, for some reason 'principal' got me. I know better, but I was still thinking of principal as the head of a school.
