Kid Refuses To Move His Legs On A Subway, Someone Captures His Reaction When A Guy Sits On Them

Kids these days, eh? Every generation seems to believe that only they had good manners, listened to better music, wore cooler clothes, and were just generally superior in every way to the entitled, spoiled kids of nowadays.

And you know what? It’s true. There’s nothing cool about tubby, rude and ignorant kids. Spoiled brats whose life lessons consist of being raised in front of a screen and stuffed full of potato chips, listening to Post Malone and being oblivious to social norms and basic human decency.

Of course, this is a massive generalization. But after this incident, posted by Twitter user Isabel, you can’t help but feel a little upset by the lack of work that goes into raising kids. A bratty kid was sprawled out over two or three seats on the subway, zombified in front of his phone (naturally) while his guardian sat by, also away in her own world.

Most people faced with this situation would probably give a disapproving look, feel a bit annoyed by the injustice of it all and continue to stand, while the boy selfishly luxuriated on his own personal couch. Not this hero, however. A young Elton John look-a-like, tired of still standing, showed up and was having none of it. “This lil ass— wouldn’t move his legs for 3 adults, so this guy comes and just SITS on his legs #mykidcouldnever,” Isabel tweeted along with a few pics and a short video of the incident.

The look on the kidspreader’s face after having his bubble burst is priceless. He looks genuinely shocked at being called out for his arrogant behavior, and his guardian seemed to halfheartedly defend him without ever looking truly concerned either way.

The hero got plenty of praise on Twitter after the post was shared over 47k times. Rude people taking up more than their fair space on public transport really seems to strike a nerve with the internet, and this guy is this latest to be lauded for his service to the rest of us.

I blame the adult who failed to teach the child any sort of common courtesy or adequate public behavior standards.

Sure, but the brat at that point in his life should be able to discern what's s****y and non-s****y behavior.

Here in Glasgow he would just have been lifted of the seat either by the passenger who wanted the seat or by the driver if it happened on a bus there's nothing like 40 tired workers on their way home to be told hey you get aff that seat or this bus isnae movein //**\\

People in public transport hogging 2 seats by either putting their bags on them or putting their feet on a seat. Disgusting. It's just another example of how inconsiderate people have become towards each other. I do hope that this isn't going to be the trend for years to come.

I do not mind about bags if they take them away when someone needs the seat. I put my bag on the seat beside me too but when I see someone come in or if the transport is full I take it away.

You know, the older I get, the fewer f***s I give. I would've done the same thing, then told off the adult for not keeping the kid in line---and I do believe the rest of the passengers would applaud. Same goes for youngsters not giving up their seats for someone older, disabled, pregnant, or just visibly ill or uncomfortable. The brat would be physically yanked out of their seat and ordered to stand, while being sternly lectured about respect and politeness. There are more polite people than rude, so we should grow a pair and use our greater numbers and stand together in this.

I generally agree with you. Except one thing: it is NOT youngsters responsibility to give up their seats for anybody. You may not believe it but even people under twenty or thirty can be in pain, feel ill or just be extremely tired. When I come back from my night shift, I am exhausted and I want only to go to sleep. Yep, I am less than thirty, I look healthy, I'm not pregnant, thanks. Still, very tired after all-night working. I always have a ticket. Have I any less right to sit than anybody other? Maybe, but as long as I occupy only one seat, I have as same right to sit as every other passenger. This kid fault WAS NOT that he was sitting - what he did wrong was occupying unnecesary seats. Would he seat only at one place - there would be no problem at all.

I'm sorry, but that's a leopard and not a tiger. I understand a lot of kids have strong legs, but some don't and it's embarrassing. My legs turn inwards when I walk, so it hurts to stand, walk, and run. I would still give up my seat, but some people have it much worse than me. Although yes, this specific kid was being a little wee-wa. I'll probably get downvotes, but still. <3

I've learned that just because someone looks healthy doesn't mean they are (and vice versa) so I'd never assume that someone not giving up their seat is just being an a*s. But you are in a minority, most teens/young adults are just selfish and inconsiderate.

LOVE THIS -- and I love the Hero's shoulder bag -- anyone know the brand? I was on the train in Denver, a young woman had her stuff spread over three seats. A guy walked up and said, "I'd like to sit." The girl didn't remove her headphones, made an exasperated face and motioned to her stuff. He pushed that c**p on the floor.

I just hope that more parents start to actually PARENT their children and quit doing this "friendship" c**p we've seen over the last decade. As adults, we need to take back our society and all the respect we're long overdue. Even today, so many moms are so entitled and selfish. They've made people afraid to even dare correct them. This "mama bear" thing needs to die. There was a time when you could say something to a child and their mother would say thank you, not attack you and make you the problem. I can't stand these people. It's not just about you and your damn kids!! Everyone around you has the same rights. Start teaching them basic human decency or someone like me will.

I'm in my 50's, this occurs frequently on the bus where I live. When people try to defend against it, I point out that they are formed individual seats not benches or couches. This one appears to be a bench type, but I still stand by you paid for one seat to ride public transit and so did everyone else who is riding. The other one that ticks me off, is the people who sit in one seat but need 1-3 more for their stuff, the stuff can ride in your lap or on the floor. I always give up my seat to someone older, expecting or appears to be having difficulty standing up, whether they appear disabled or not. Not everyone who looks physically able can stand up on a bus with the movement and swaying of the vehicle. I would rather stand then have someone fall and injure themselves even slightly. I suppose the fact that I was raised with manners and respect is considered 'old school" now!

I don't think its fair to completely blame the kid here, and its definitely not fair to generalize all "young people". Some "young people" can be incredible polite and thoughtful, this kid is just an exception. I think the blame falls on his guardian, who let him do this, and clearly didn't teach him the right way to be. He must be awfully sheltered if he didn't even have the common sense to make space for someone else on a crowded subway.

Here where I live you'd probably never/really rarely see this happen. We're taught to stand so that people who need seats can sit. However that created bunch of entitled older people which make me hate public transport. So most of the time I stand but once the tram was almost entirely empty so I sat down. When old lady comes and stands to me expecting to get up. I thought there are a lot of free spaces all around me so I didn't pay it much attention. She wanted my spot that wasn't even special at all so she unkindly asked and I got up. She didn't even thank me or anything (not that I expect but would be nice since young people tend to get backlash for everything we do).

Good for the guy, and blame the POS parent. I had an ex who let his 4-year-old daughter run rampant and mow over everyone. The b***h punched me in the face once for nicely trying to wash peanut butter out of her hair. My ex would let her run screaming up the aisle in church while the priest was trying to deliver a sermon, and yank on the priest's robes as he was singing hymns. If you tried to correct her or say she was disturbing others: "F**k you! If they have a problem with my daughter, they have a problem with me!" I'm not even religious and even I know that's not okay. We took him out to a fancy restaurant for his birthday and he let her jump on all the chairs and scream and snatch food from the other diners. She also always demanded to eat only Pringles for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and he would let her b/c "she's a kid and you only get to be a kid once and you better not take her childhood away". Needless to say he was a contemptible idiot and we're not together anymore.

The parents of this 'child' should hang their heads in shame because they failed him bigtime! Not only do children feel entitled to take up as much space as they want these days, but they refuse to sit properly, stand for older gens, use any manners or respect themselves&others. Hopefully, this young brat has learned a very valuable lesson

LOL, actually this is the PROPER way to teach children. No violence, & NOT making the parent teach the child even though I agree it's their jo first & foremost. We as citizens have to teach children too. In fact, a child has a better chance at listening to a stranger. Everyone in this world keeps to themselves & doesn't help one another. THAT is selfish. And yes I KNOW that the corrupt gov't tells us we have NO RIGHT to teach other people's children, but I DISAGREE. We are ALL in this together, AND most parents are terrible at parenting. Just b/c a parent teaches a child to let adults sit down, doesn't mean they are teaching them everything else that's positive in this world. I was taught good manners to OTHERS while be abused every day of my life by both my father & step mother. Long ago it took the ENTIRE village to teach & raise the children & now should be NO different. It's not easy raising children, ESPECIALLY in this toxic day & age. That was a GREAT parenting lesson.

two times i had the situation that someone would refuse my question to take a spare seat - and two times "we are not in your living room" escaped my mouth without permission of the brain. i handed over the bag blocking the seat and took the seat. one guy called me an a*****e when i left and i flipped him with a smile.

ok one of these saying that young people have younger legs and can stand, F**K YOU! As a teenager i got many angry looks when people saw me using the front seats of buses because "how can some one so young need that seat?" Well i am and have been disabled due to chronic pain and hyper-mobility for 7 years, so not every young person can stand. I do agree however with what this guy did because even if this kid was disabled there is no reason for anyone to take up more than 1 seat on a bus or train and the kid got what he deserved.

Not at all surprised by this young kid’s behavior, it seems all too common today. When I was a child, I was taught to respect authority, my elders, teachers and my parents of course. By the way, using a belt for discipline back in the 60's worked well to keep us in line and we're still hear to talk about it. Today it's all about time-outs in a room where kids have all their electronic toys and other things to keep them occupied. According to the Scriptures, God says, "Spare the rod, Spoil the child". Now I don't know about you, but I believe God gave us that blueprint on how to raise respectable children for a reason. My dad used to tell me, this is going to hurt me more than it hurts you, while I was thinking to myself, say what! He was right, as I grew into an adult and had my own children, I finally realized how right he was on that point. However, when discipline happens out of love it is worthy of God's praise, but when it happens out of anger it's the complete opposite.

Was he asked to move his legs & refused? If the guy just sat on him w/o first asking the kid to move his legs & giving him a chance to do it, then in my opinion, that's being just as rude. I agree that, on one level, it's a hilarious response to sit on him but it's never wrong to give someone a chance todo the right thing. Mom & kid might be temporarily 'checked out' for a very good reason...kindness is never wrong, but of course that goes both ways.

Had a parent request a teacher conference so I could get to know her son better, she proceeded to share stories of this precious child and the injustices he had suffered. One tale: they were riding the bus, an elderly person got on, and there were no free seats. Her son didn't budge. Another adult told him to stand and give the lady his seat, she yelled at this person who dared speak to her child (who was 9, had been at school all day, was tired and needed that seat) that way. I had no words.

Because it is something that matters to you, you are more likely to want to work with your children to stop it from happening. A lot of parents don't make the effort to enforce consequences for poor behaviour - it's easier to let them get away with it rather than put up with a tantrum. That's where you have to be strong. People should keep in mind that they are meant to be raising children to become decent, independent adults.

What if the. Hild was sick and really needed to rest. I am sure everybody has been to the Emergency room and had to wait for a really long time when they didnt feel well. Wishing they could lay down. What if you had to take the train there. Adults are forced to tolerate uncomfortable situations but what about children. What usually happens is the adult has to hold their little one for unknown and unreasonable lengths of time. Assuming the child was just beeing a brat is a very self centered, immature and non empathetic. That type of thinking displayed by the so called adult is actually an obvious indication that the "adult" suffers from a behavioral disorder. In actuality the "adult" could have seriously injured the child; and had no right to touch a minor with consent from the parent or gaurdian. A few other scenios should be in consideration. Maybe it wasnnt a chill child but a dwarf suffering from pain associated with dwarfism. Or even a developmental disorders. Just saying. THINK.

That was a GREAT parenting lesson.

ok one of these saying that young people have younger legs and can stand, F**K YOU!

THINK.

Shaming children (no matter how obnoxious) across the internet, the land where nothing is forgotten, is really repugnant. Post downvoted. Stop this, Bored Panda. Please institute a rule that any post targetting a child is not allowed.
