It's folklore
It's totally slavic! The print of the dress is a traditional russian print, the painted eggs are usually decorated during Easter , the combination of tapisseries, velvet, used of mixed prints seems like the old datchas... It's an atmosphere , that you seem to not know about.
Maybe just the eggs.
The red eggs are an Eastern Orthodox tradition for Pascha(Easter).
