There are many reasons why one might enjoy a good horror story. One, for example, is the adrenaline rush after being scared. The other is that some of us like to experience overwhelming, complex emotions. If his eyes were closed that wouldn't help, and while when eyes are moving you might see a little moving buldge under the eyelids, I'm fairly sure that the icy container would develop a layer that would cover the glass, if there is any, so nobody could see him either way.

A girl is alone at home one night, for the first time. She has a dog to keep her company. The girl listens on the news about a serial killer on the loose. She goes to sleep after locking all the doors and windows but for one, which doesn’t close. Suddenly she is awakened by a dripping sound. Scared thoroughly, she tries to go back to sleep and puts her hand down the bed for a reassuring lick from her dog. As the dripping sound continues, she goes to check on the taps in the kitchen, bathroom and everywhere else but finds nothing. She returns to her bedroom and puts the hand down again for the dog to lick. The dripping sound continues and the girl is too frightened to fall asleep. But as her hand gets licked from under the bed, she slowly falls asleep. In the morning, when she opens the closet, she finds her dog killed and hanged upside down. The dripping sound was from the dog’s blood. On the closet doors, she sees a message written in the dog’s blood– “Humans can lick too"

Nah I get these all the time except for me its always a reoccurring nightmare that I'm walking on the 3 floor of my childhood house except all the banisters are gone and I lean over the edge to look down into our large foyer and then I'm pushed from behind by a man with no face and all of a sudden I'm falling and I look up to see the man with no face except he has a big wide mouth that stretches his whole face who is now smiling down at me and its absolutely terrifying and just as I hit impact I jerk awake. I've had this nightmare since I was a toddler and it will never go away...

True story, my dad used to live at a lake, and right across from his house, there was a summer camp. Every year, kids would go canoeing in the morning. And every time, one of them wouldn’t bring a life jacket. The boat would tip over, and only the one with the life jacket would come back. Years later, these people were scuba diving; and when they got to the bottom, there were dead bodies EVERYWHERE. They cleaned out the lake, so it’s fine now.

Happens in my house (built in 1820) often, but only when I'm in my closet--and my youngest is 6, lol. When we moved in, we found a weird old crib in my bedroom closet that I've always just felt uncomfortable about getting rid of. One day, when my son was four, he was lying on his bunk bed, staring at the ceiling quite intently. I thought he was just daydreaming, so I laid down next to him and said, "Whatcha looking at?" He said, "you don't see it?" I said, "What?" He replied, "The baby? Crawling on the ceiling?" I had no response for him--but then I asked him what else the baby was doing. He said, "just looking at me." It was a bit creepy--

lol I actually had an experience like this when I was 13 or so. I was home one night making a mixtape. My grandmother was the only other person in the house and she was 3 floor below me. I was trying to make creative transitions between songs like Pink Floyd did on their albums. In one transition I used a recording of an atomic bomb test from the National Archives in Washington DC. When I played the tape back you could clearly hear a woman voice whisper, "goodnight" as the rumbling of the A-bomb faded out.

A woman was buried alive once.. her husband ran a funeral service and replaced someone's son with her drugged body. She was only found because she woke from the drugs early and starting screaming as the funeral guests were walking away. The poor woman is severely mentally scarred :(

My guess is after they entered something happened to them and no one could get in to help or investigate because they were locked in from the inside. It insinuates whatever was in the crypt killed the "attendees" and locked the door behind them so nobody could enter... I assume.
