Lately, there are so many new hair trends rising to fame – from galaxy hair to rainbow pastel hair to pixelated hair to ‘granny’ hair to merman hair – it’s really hard to keep track. Luckily, we’re here to fill you in with newest trends and what people can’t stop talking about now is this new glow-in-the-dark hair trend.

Created by celebrity hairstylist Guy Tang, this hair will literally have you glowing. The look is not easy to achieve, so going to a professional is highly recommended. First, it has to be bleached and then the hair is carefully dyed with bright neon colors making it look a glowing lava lamp! Now is this awesome or what?! As Guy Tang would say, ‘YAAAAAAS’!

This is exactly what I was thinking. All that damage to the hair it's not worth it.

Doesn't look like glow in the dark. There is definitely a black light. Unless faces and eyes are also now glow-in-the-dark.

It doesn't say it's actually glow in the dark, just says that the colors are mixed to create a very bright product, making it look glow in the dark. The pictures are taken with a black light to show how bright they are. Just for the ones confused by the text. CAN'T WAIT TO TRY THIS TREND!!!

It's cute but if the amount of girls walkin around with dried, fried, brittle, straw-like faded pastel hair color with 4-inches of black roots is a anything to go by, this is another trend that only looks good the first 48 hours and then it's all downhill from there...

I would love hair like that- but multiple colours like that is a lot of work and it has to be dyed again constantly, such a shame.

It looks stupid, it's bad for your hair (and head :p), it's expensive, that rainbow really looks natural, looks like bad hat, and it's not practical. Am I forgetting something?

Definitely blacklight being used... and, yes, black (UV) light is harmful. Even the so-called "safe" (UV) blacklight.

Also, what many people don't realize is that, outside of SOME fairly gentle shampoos/conditioners, everything else that people put in their hair to change it in ANY way (lighten, darken, perm, straighten, etc.) is long-term harmful to their hair and scalp. A lot of middle-aged to older women these days have thinning hair.
