Few things brighten our day as effortlessly as animals. A happy tail wag, wide-eyed stare, gentle purr, or sudden burst of zoomies—it doesn’t take much to make us smile. They truly are the ultimate stress relievers.
So if you could use a little sunshine and maybe a few giggles, we’ve rounded up a batch of hilarious animal memes from the Facebook group Pets Are Love. Scroll down to check them out—just don’t be surprised if they make you want to run off and find a fluffy friend to cuddle.

If that face is not the purest form of love, I don't know what love is!
One day, I hope to have a human look at me, the way your dog looks at you.
Never gonna happen😂😂😂dogs n animals love unconditionally,hunman don’t lol

Proof of why animals are smarter than humans, none of these animals treats the others differently or hates the others for being a different color than they are!!
Red labs aren't a thing. They're a backyard breeder created "thing". Same goes for "silver" labs. Not a thing and horribly bred.

Load More Replies...Whenever pets show up in our lives—whether in person, in videos, or even as memes—it’s hard not to smile. They might not replace the feeling of having them right next to us, but they still give us those happy little bursts of laughter and “aww” moments.
Offline or online, pets are the kind of companions that make being human feel a little bit easier.
Would be a shame if somebody makes the hole somewhat deeper so the whole dog could come in....
And we, the mere mortals, we absolutely agree! He's a gooood boi!
I'm sure God created animals for our mental wellbeing, if you open your mind and heart to them.
But why exactly are we so attached to them? What is it about animals that makes us fall so deeply in love?
According to Jason N. Linder, Psy.D., LMFT, writing for Psychology Today, one of the biggest reasons is that “pets attend potently to our brain’s social circuitry.”
From birth, we’re wired to need attachments, and pets can fill that role when human connection feels out of reach. In fact, research during the pandemic showed that pet owners reported less depression and more positivity compared to those without animals at home.

Doggie: "We can stay up late, swappin' manly stories, and in the mornin', I'm makin' waffles!"
More like, “I have a home?…I HAVE A HOME!!! Can I stay with you forever? Will you be nice to me? I love you already.”

Load More Replies...This makes sense, Linder explains, because our ability to feel secure and balanced often depends on the strength of our bonds with others.
Pets excel here: they have a way of making us feel seen and valued without needing words. And that simple recognition can do wonders for our self-esteem.
My dog Belle hid from hers too - so much so that we had to wean them at 3 weeks. Poor thing..
Why can't the hubby deal with them? Feed, walk, poop and clean it up. Oh and show some affection to them.
Let me explain: Sometimes there is no need of food, potty, walkies or things Like that. Sometimes it is just a case of "human left us all alone"-drama. A closed door is like a new built wall from time to time.

Nope. My kitty will sing the song of his people until I let him in
Load More Replies...Well, he's obviously, the spare hooman.....don't know why give him so much grief..... Every body knows spare hooman are good fo nothing 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Husband is outside the door too - he's the one holding the camera, instead of diverting the child and pets to give her a break.
... before doing so. This is too good to not take a photo of first.
Load More Replies...Another reason we cherish them so much is their purity. As Linder points out, pets don’t have ulterior motives: “They won’t try to get something from you (besides love, attention, play, time outside, or food) or gaslight you.”
“They won’t ever abandon you to go to their friend’s party instead of spending time with you,” he adds. “They won’t pursue an affair; you’re everything to them, and they’re fiercely, unwaveringly loyal, as long as you treat them decently (and often even if you don’t: but please treat them well anyway, they deserve it!).
That unwavering loyalty and unconditional affection can be life-changing, especially for people healing from trauma or loneliness. Pets remind us that connection doesn’t have to be complicated, it can be as simple as a purr or a paw resting on your lap.
"Yer peasant hooman! You're about to meet your ancestors in the afterlife in 3 seconds...1..2.."
She is right, I think dogs and cats are family, and pets are, for example, fish...
See? If I have to use public transport...my kind of fellow passengers!
Research continues to confirm what pet owners have always felt.
According to the BBC, a 2022 study at Queen’s University Belfast found that dogs could detect human stress simply by smelling sweat and breath samples, correctly identifying the stressed ones nearly 94% of the time.
It shows how incredibly tuned in they are to us, able to pick up on pressure and tension in ways we might not even realize ourselves.
This kind of sensitivity makes animals uniquely intuitive companions. They tune into emotions in a way that often feels deeper than human relationships.
Gotta love the innocence of the little ones! 😊 and little doggie was paying attention too!
Not a wasteland. This 60 year old female learned how to replace the ignition switch on her John Deere with a youtube video. It is what you make of it.

Researchers even have a term for studying the human-animal bond: anthrozoology.
And one other idea that could explain why our love for pets runs so deep is social recognition, the human ability to identify someone or something as important to us.
In this case, of course, it applies to pets. For us, they’re pretty much our family members.
For those who might not recognize the word "plait," it means "braid."
Load More Replies...I’m surprised they were able to keep the tail still enough to do that lol
Have you had a dog or cat? They run, stop and sleep. Even with their eyes open.
Load More Replies...And while data and studies are fascinating, anyone who has ever been greeted by an overexcited dog at the door, or had a cat curl up on their chest when they needed comfort, doesn’t need research to prove how special this bond really is.
That everyday companionship is enough to show the connection we share with pets is unlike any other.
Get him a little heated bed that will fit on your bed. Chihuahuas are drama queens.
My chihuahua has heating pads in several spots. He loves being warm & cozy. I'm his heating pad at bedtime 🌙
So whether you’re reading the science or just looking at a few silly memes, the truth is the same: pets aren’t just part of our lives.
They make our days immeasurably better. They bring comfort when things feel heavy, laughter when we least expect it, and a sense of warmth that’s hard to find anywhere else.
And really, that’s why we keep turning to them, because everything feels brighter with them around.

Well, if the dog wasn't standing like that he'd have to start treading water bc the water is deep! He's probably hanging on for dear life.
10+ years ago I had the same chihuahua F, a F JRT, and took possesion of a M Manchester Terrier. I was used to the girls going out and barking at critters, but he wasnt and I woke up to him standing over me growling, trying to protect me. It was funny

I know it is satire, but do not give animals for Christmas. My sister gave me a cat that died. I had to put it in a fridge until we could go back and she could bi tch them out for it. Meanwhile, on the 26th, I plucked Neal off the door of the cage and we had 2o years together. My best friend. My Christmas reject kitty.
Oh oof. You poor thing (and your poor sister. I bet she had the best of intentions).

I'd love to know the reason as to why dog farts stink so much more than even the mankiest human ones do. I'd previously put it down to food quality but my mum's dog is a spoilt cutie that only gets people-grade food and still stinks like something's dying when he farts. Dog-face-6...48f9a6.jpg
My dogs rarely fart and the farts rarely smell. I'm not doing anything special, it's just the food they eat works well for them and their digestive systems. They each have different diets. As Google has to say: "Dog farts smell bad due to hydrogen sulfide, a gas produced by gut bacteria breaking down undigested food, especially those high in sulfur, fibre, or poorly digestible proteins. Diet, food intolerances, allergies, and digestive issues like bacterial overgrowth, parasites, or inflammation can contribute to excessive or smelly gas." So, sorry to say but if anyone has a very farty dog, they most likely need a diet change. One of my dogs has the same colour-way... They're both so cute (but I AM biased!). Folly-on-d...e9ace0.jpg
Our fart rocket is the cat. It’s gotten better since I switched her to a sensitive stomach food, but my fiancé still will occasionally sneak her treats, and you can practically see the green clouds float out from her. It’s enough to make our German Shepherd leave the room. I’ve suggested sending her to Ukraine because I believe she could be enough to end the war with her farts 🤢 But my fiancé insists that she would violate the Geneva Convention…
I was sick and feed the cat some cheap food from the loxal store ( too sick to go 30 miles to pet store for good food ). Never again. The smell. Even she was upset, trying forever to bury it in litter box.
Load More Replies...It’s a funny thing. Dogs don’t really have buttcheeks like humans, so nothing to flutter and vibrate to make that particular noise. BUT, sometimes when they’re laying down and their legs are closed, their farts do become audible. The other day, my dog Skye (almost 10 month old—-and 73lb—-GSD female) wasn’t feeling 100%, so while I worked (from home), she laid under my desk for most of my work day. When she first flopped down and laid on her side, out came three unmistakable little pooty farts, one right after the other. Poot. Poot. Poot. Then she fell fast asleep and snored like a buzzsaw for a couple hours.
Fairly sure the noise is caused by the an*al sphincter as air is expelled. Which, of course, dogs do have.
Load More Replies...Cats should run our administration. They are more competent than we have now. Vote by paw, object by a hiss, and request democracy by a meow. Purr when it is done.
And scratch TF out of any staffer, no matter how high their rank, when they’re behaving badly. Our present administration would be absolutely in shreds and perpetually covered in blood from those scalpel-sharp claws. Probably find themselves buried in the litter box as well.

Staying with my in laws once and their dog kept coming to check why they hadn't gone to bed yet as he had and he was fed up with waiting! I do feel for you. It's so hard when they die, isn't it? I'm so glad your rescue had you in her life to love her as she deserved.

My family were dog people. My friend's family were cat people. As a kid I would go over to his house and the cat would reach out from under the furniture and scratch my ankle. Every time. Then I noticed everyone in my friend's family had healing scratches on their legs and ankles. Ever since then I always wondered why people even owned cats.

Although this is an adorable photo, please, PLEASE ensure that your dog is in a safety strap or securing harness in your car. Heaven forbid you have an accident and your poor dog ends up in another dimension. Same goes for Puppers in the ute tray (back of the pick up truck for those in Orange Man Land).
Why? What's the point? You know you're going to lose the argument!
This is my life with a bossy boy beagle. Omfg! I tell him all the time "this is it!" and that he's getting evicted but it's been four and a half years now, so he knows I'm just talking smack...he earns his keep being a good brother to my 6 yr old. Getting them both a kitten has been good for them...doggo is much less destructive with a baby in the house to play with. (He does behave much better when I lie and tell him he's a good boy)
I always ask one of my cats "why can't you just be normal??". She never answers.
