Paul Rudd, who has been charming his way into our hearts since the ‘90s, turned a year older over the weekend and left fans gasping over his age-defying looks.

As the calendar flipped to April 6 and marked Paul’s 55th birthday, the Internet collectively shrugged and then smiled because, let’s face it, the actor defies the very concept of aging. The beloved star continues to stun with his remarkably youthful appearance, and fans across the globe flooded social media with tributes that were part homage, part disbelief over his looks.

Among those who took a moment to wish the actor was his Friends co-star, Jennifer Aniston, who playfully called Paul an “ageless freak.”

Happy Birthday Paul Rudd,” Jennifer wrote in an Instagram story while sharing a hilarious clip from the movie Wanderlust, which she starred in with Paul.

“I love you, you ageless freak!” she added.

When Paul was asked about his secret to a “superhero body” and “eternal youth” during an interview with Men’s Health last year, he said “sleep” topped the list of good habits that contributed to his looks.

“Then weights. Then cardio,” he went on to say. “People ask me, ‘Can you send me your meal plan? How many times a week do you work out? Do you drink? Do you eat carbs? Do you have a cheat day?’ The most important part of training is sleep. People will set their alarm and then sleep for four hours and they’ll get up so that they can train. They’re doing themselves a disservice.”

The Ant-Man star spoke about how staying physically active keeps him mentally happy as well

The actor explained what a typical day in his life looks like and how his role in Ant-Man shifted the focus more to his physical fitness.

“I get up and I have a cup of coffee, and then I do cardio before I eat anything. I never would’ve done that before [Ant-Man]. I lift weights, hopefully at least three times a week,” he told the outlet. “And I’ve learned so much about how my body reacts to foods, how it reacts to exercise, and where I’m happiest and how much it affects me mentally … If I’m in this suit, running around playing a character who’s supposed to be a superhero, I just feel better. And I feel less like an impostor.”

Fans collectively gasped over Paul Rudd’s age-defying looks, with one saying, “This man is immortal”
