Encourage them and remind them of their promises, and express how you feel. Make sure you don't make them feel guilty because that's what fuels alcoholism the most. Last but not least, get a therapist.

After trying for years to encourage them to get help, they are still in denial and not changing their ways so we have decided to cut them out of our lives. Their behaviour is toxic and I don’t want that around me or my kids.They can come back in our lives when they actively get help, apologise and admit to their wrongdoings, and are sober for a certain amount of time.
