As a wheelchair user who loves to travel, this is horrifying for me. No way would I be able to transfer into either row. I'd hope that if this idea ever came to fruition, that they would still have rows of normal seating that wouldn't be more expensive for disabled people.

As can be seen, this was set up in an exhibition hall as a demonstration. The seats don't move in the demo version and I'll call the front one on the lower deck (almost out of shot) that has approx 5m of space in front of it, thanks. As usual, this was envisaged by a 21 yr old half way through uni/college. Sat in an aeroplane for 12 hrs?, no, seen an aeroplane seat? no. Done a day's work?, no. other great ideas: perpetual motion machines, anti gravity paint, extracting 50Mw/hr of power from a grain of sand. PS Of COURSE the airlines are madly interested in it. Cram them in and charge them extra for the privilege.
