Anybody who’s been following the news will no doubt be aware that today is the day that the UK votes on whether to leave or remain in the European Union. And if you have been following it, you’ll no doubt be aware of what a boring and propaganda-fueled debate it is. Misinformation abounds, and nobody can agree on anything except that the apocalypse is coming one way or another. But one man has decided to take a stand against all of this nonsense. His name is Laurence Taylor and he’s become something of an overnight hero after taking out a full page advert in the Metro Newspaper.
“I’m fed up with the rubbish being talked about immigration,” read the advert. “Vote Remain Or Leave, up to you, but do it based on facts not fear.” Above the text is a pie-chart illustrating the reality about immigration – one of the debate’s most contentious topics. And with this simple gesture, Mr. Taylor just won the vote of millions. (h/t: Mashable)

Share on Facebook0.5% a year is quite alot. That's a 5% increase in population from immigration alone in 10 years. That means that in 2 terms time there needs to be 5% more of everything, excluding all the migrants that are already there having kids and not being integrated, and ofc the UK population.Besides that number will never stay the same. Most probable it will rise dramatically. Also, immigration drives the salaries down, and this doesn't happen across the board, meaning a slight decrease in all industries, it's usually on a per industry basis, where in different periods, the working class of a whole industry gets f****d in the a*s, while the rest are ok.But not for long :)).
Europe has a negative birthdate overall, even though Britain's is picking up. An increase in the population over time, whether via birth or immigration, or both, is natural and good for the economy. Also, I'm assuming your calculation over 10 years doesn't take into account the death rates, not the gains in taxes and labor. In any case, your reasoning just doesn't follow logic or economics, I'm afraid.

Considering a lot of countries are bankrupt (trillions of dollars in debt) and taxpayers are dealing with severe cutbacks (school children, war veterans, single mothers) where is all the money supposed to come from to support these new immigrants (refugees)? The fact is it costs an average of $60,000.00 per refugee per year for about 2 years to get them settled into society. There is the processing costs of housing, food, clothing, prescription drugs, medical operations, legal aid, English language courses, children's schooling, transportation costs, etc. All this is an added strain on the economy when the economy is already in the toilet. Take care of your own, and the argument that the white population is decreasing is just being responsible parenting. There were 1 billion people on the planet in 1916 and there are over 5 billion in 2016!! Get real folks, the planet is crashing from overpopulation and poor countries keep growing, expecting handouts from other countries, WHY!
Net immigration is 330,000 but the total number of immigrants coming into the UK is closer to half a million people. That still might sound like a low number until you realize that there are only 700,000 babies born in the UK each year. That means that more than 1/3 of all the new citizens in the country were not born or raised in Britain. Completely unsustainable numbers.
Because immigrants from arabic countries can kill people at the streets? Because the makes ghetto and streets where you can be beaten because you are white? Because immigrants makes riots (remember London)?
For sure there was no crime before these. only if u could deport all the british muslims... UK would be crime free (sarcasm)

Problem doesn't lie in the rise of number of people living in a country but in their inability (in most cases) to live with people of different culture. It's not about a few people wanting to be safe, but about LOTS of them that come mostly to take free money from people they try to change to their own standards. He says they don't have a choice... That's funny, did you know that Hungary and Poland (two nations that are part of EU) decided to not take any immigrants and are now much safer than for example France or Germany? That means it's possible. Maybe Norway failed in negotiating something better but not everyone else did. Thanks for reading.
Do you guys completely miss the Irony in the fact that a lot of the immigrants are coming from countries either subjugated by the british empire, or whose borders were defined by the allied powers (including britain) after WWII? And that the accusations of cultural intolerance (in a historical context) are probably more aptly applied to you? And how did the economic merits or downfalls of an eu split devolve into a discussion about immigrants who are not part of any eu country?

It continues when those people refuse to learn the language, densely populate areas and change them to be copies of the dreadful places from whence they came, change large portions of the invaded country into places that the "native" people of that country don' feel comfortable in and some of those immigrants have goals that are in direct conflict with the people and governments of the countries that they are invading (yes, invading - because they have no intention of adopting the laws, language or customs of the countries that they are invading).
Its amazing that in describing the immigrants (incorrectly), you've inadvertently described colonial Britain to a tee. Projecting much? Maybe a little self-hate there?
