Thomas Duke, better known as steppingthroughfilm to his 154k followers on his Instagram account, is an artist from London who connects the imaginary reality of iconic movies to our ordinary and realistic lives.
Since 2017, he has been traveling to find the exact filming locations from famous movies and captures them by fitting photos from certain scenes to match the settings in which they were filmed. The artist pays a lot of attention to details, finding the right angle and perspective and in that way completely blurring the line between reality and the cinematic world.
Duke has already visited around 150 movie locations since the beginning of his project, most of the historical places in London. There he took cool photos of scenes from well-known movies such as Harry Potter, The Avengers, The Joker, Bridget Jones's Diary, The Devil Wears Prada, and many more meeting the real world.
"I’ve loved film all my life, it allowed me to escape into such a wonderful world away from all of my worries, so exploring the famous locations where all of that magic was born just felt so perfect and was so much fun—still love doing it today," the artist told Bored Panda.
