The food or the people?

Um, noooo! When our son was that age, we brought a special travel chair, a silicone bowl, and a utensil and cup that were hooked onto bottle straps. He also wore a food smock with a pocket at the bottom to catch food. When food (rarely) fell, we would pick it up. Common sense and respect. With or without kids, we gather all our trash in one place and try to stack dishes when we can. I work retail, but to all the servers out there, I hope those rude animals at least gave you a higher tip!

I do not understand what is wrong with some people. And that’s not lazy - it’s entitled. I have a feeling most of this list will be about people who feel entitled.

The normal human being with a basic sense of decency in me is hyperventilating.

I've made the determination within myself that the next time I encounter this during grocery shopping, I am just going to walk right up to the aisle-blockers, stand uncomfortably close, and listen in to their conversation, nodding along and making eye contact, until I unnerve them XD

I've been known to just shove my trolley past such obstacles - no, no, not bashing into a *person*, but if they ignore my polite request to move, I'll cause a certain amount of noise and clanging by shoving my trolley into theirs. Why look so startled? It wasn't as if you hadn't heard me ask, was it?

The mistake is being polite. People who's behaviors is rude don't get the benefit of the politeness doubt. Construction worker appearance helps but I walk up, use my foreman voice loudly enough that half the aisle hear Fu.....kin...... Move!!!! Tends to get em going again.

Or some just continue to chat and block the aisle.

That is when you say "Sorry, I did not see the sign that says 'Block isles and talk so others can't pass!" or "Sorry, I did not see the sign that says 'Block isles so medical personnel can not pass to save someone's life!"

Or ignore you completely.

Set them straight on who was rude by blocking in the first place. I do and they are embarrassed and don't say another word

Obviously you say it in a rude way.

That has never happened to me. We have a tendency to feel things we don't like or we think shouldn't happen are far more common than they are.

That's just cynical. There are 10 times more demonstrations of love, kindness, gratitude, joy, than these little things. The point of these things is that they pull us into the thoughts that they are common when they're not...they just stand out in our minds because of the emotion we attach to it.

That doesn't excuse them, they need to return the shoes to the rack they picked them up at. That conduct is absurd.

Or people could put the shoes they don’t want back in the box and then on the shelf they got them from. How did you get so many upvotes? I assume they’re by people who do this and blame it on the workers.

And that gives people the right to leave a shop like that? I bet it would have looked the same with 3 salespeople dancing around them. Some people are apparently used to staff. Same sort of people grab 10 shirts and jackets and leave everthing in the changing room, usually dropped on the floor. My ususal approach is standing right in front of it, waiting for them and make the most annoyed face i am capable of. Some get it and bring it back, some just ignore me and walk out. I wish those people fall on hard times and have to do my job for 2 weeks, that os the only thing i can imagine to change them

I was just thinking how much I would hate to have to tidy this lot, and glad I don't work in a shoe shop.
