But...why?

I don't get it...the recreations don't seem to be making a statement of any kind, they aren't "better" than the originals...what's the point?

So this is where we're headed as a society? This is considered "art"? Wow. This is....no, just no. And the fact that this (sh)art made it to BP is even more tragic. WTF people? Seriously?

"I want to be more authentic on social media" .....because apparently nothing is more authentic than biting someone else's work. BP wins the award for dumbest statement though: "Also, using pictures of other people without them knowing might be a potential threat to one's privacy.". These photos were publicly available in Instagram already, dummy.

Don't get it... be authentic by copying other people's photos? What's the point?

i find nothing controversial about these photos. if they were better versions, more interesting versions - then maybe. but they are only similar and there seems to be no point. it would be better if she tried her own ideas and just published them as "my life and art" album.

the originals are pretty edgy and excellent photos - her interpretations are fun and poke fun at the edginess - kind of like the mailed it pinterest memes

Sorry, but... didn't know exactly what Instagram was so I had to read up about it and now I realize: What is even more unnecessary than Instagram? Making slightly different pictures than those and putting them also on Instagram. Reza is pretty, though.

No need to go to second page, if you are going to re-create a photo, do it exactly, being similar (but having camera phone in the wrong hand, looking the opposite direction of the original, ect.) is like a private joke for late night text message to a friend
