When we scroll through Instagram, we aren’t usually considering what those photos looked like behind the camera. A nice picture of a woman and her dog enjoying the sunset? Lovely! A mouth-watering pic of someone’s dinner at a five-star restaurant? Yum! But sometimes, we’re lucky enough to encounter the elusive influencer out in the wild, and the things they’re willing to do for the perfect shot are a bit shocking (or embarrassing, you decide).

I remember that day very well, it was late 2015 and me and my grandma were walking in the canyon when suddenly she went down. The doctor said it was sudden head trauma but we couldn't find out what caused it to this day :(

Went to college in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Had a streaker. Used to wait until it was about -10 F to do it. Security guards never caught him because by the time they got their coats and things on he was gone. Not a big supporter of streaking but I do admire the guy.

Ugh. My dad fell off of a ladder and sustained a traumatic brain injury that left him near-vegetative. He was in a coma for 6 months, and when he (barely) came out of it, he could not talk, move, walk, or eat. He spent the next 21 years bedridden, wearing a diaper, with a feeding tube implanted in his stomach. We took care of him at home. He died two years ago. DO NOT fúck around with stupid fúcking idiot stunts like this, for your family's sake.

People are defending this dude in the IG comments, all "he's 2 meters away, it's okay!" ...yeah, a baby in a stroller can get snatched in less than five seconds. Or someone could come along and just shove the stroller over or push it into the street. No way would I risk my CHILD just so I could get photos in a crosswalk. I don't even have a human child... I wouldn't even leave my cat in a stroller unattended like that. Insane that people are defending this guy.

(Admittedly I'd probably totally stand behind her and pretend to be perusing whatever product is on display there, and maybe scratch my butt a time or two.) Honestly though, she's just FLAILING madly in the video... imagine if she smacked someone in the face as they just tried to walk by :(

I do weird pics just cause I think they're funny, I'm not an influencer and do it for my own fun, but I don't go or do anything where others are and always ask if I might be in the way of someone or place, and I don't break the law {such as those going up the Mayan steps and holocaust pictures} As long as there is permission gave, everyone is safe and there is no law broken, let people make fools of themselves and look stupid

It's not just "influencers" that do this....I traveled recently the entire length of Vietnam and every young female there thinks they're ina photo shoot and all the photos are of their backside as they look at something, occasionally a picture of their face as they glance over their shoulder. EVERYTHING is a photoshoot. I watched this one young couple go "out for dinner" but they didn't eat; it was as if the dude was her personal photographer and when he did try to eat, she yelled at him for not taking more pictures of her. I went on an amazing hike in the mountains near Ninh Binh and these women brought props and everything and were blocking the whole trail, oblivious that there's anyone around them. I had to literally shame these two young ladies cuz they were in an old prison cell inside the Hanoi Hilton (as it's loosely referred to) attempting to do one of these àsshole photoshoots and I told them how disgusting and disrespectful their behavior was.

Ok, so some are cringey and some are a-hole moves, but some are just harmless fun. Not everybody taking weird pictures is an influencer. As long as they are not causing harm, let people have fun and act silly.

This!! Taking photos of yourself having fun isn’t a crime. And it’s someone personally does not like taking photos of themselves, this does not mean that *other* people are somehow not enjoying the activity they have chosen to do or are not “appreciating” the experience.

I am suddenly scared that I might be old!?!?! as in nearly ancient. 😳 No, but really. I don't understand why influencers are like this. If I were to try it out as an influencer I'd have videos of me telling folk tales from my country, in front of the actual places the tale is supposed to have happened, when possible. No twerking or nudity. just nerdy nerd-stuff so dry you would get dust in the eyes just by watching the videos/pictures. Lol. I doubt I would have any followers. 🤣

Lol I saw one 'influencer' last year. I was at the port with my friends, and then three people come and rented two small boats. Two were dressed normally, and third was lady in princess-like dress and high heels. Lady was in one boat, posing, and her friends were on another boat, taking photos. Me and my friends made bets if she fall in water or not. She didn't, but she tripped and fell once she was ashore.

In quite moments one does get to sit down, reflect and contemplate how the world keeps getting darker and more hostile and you can feel sad for the future generations and then you see these people and this p***head lot and think yeah everyone made the right decisions.
