I Photographed Industrial Art Around New York (9 Pics)

New York, New York. The city is so nice they named it twice. I have been visiting my family in Brooklyn for over ten years and when they're at work or school, I walk and walk and walk and walk.

I have grown to love industrial art and especially standpipes. (Standpipes are for multiple-story buildings in case of fire, the fire hoses get hooked up so the heavy fire hoses full of water don't have to get dragged up the stairs... hopefully, they will never have to be used!)

Tiny tags like this always make me wonder. What caused a tagger to pick that particular spot? How long does it take to tag a manhole cover? If I was painting my name on a manhole cover, I'm not sure I'd be able to stop myself giggling!

In my "Golden Years" and loving it. I used to teach, but now I just write, read, (a lot online:( ), eat, sleep, garden (HUGE garden fan), clean, and walk a lot every day. Yoga almost every day. I also join three Koffee Klatches a week, (on Sundays we read the NYT) ,collect recipes I don't use and I travel a lot. I have at least four books back-burnered, but as my sister said, "Anna, there aren't that many back burners." But I am never bored, Pandas!

Hey there, Pandas! My name is Diana (though some prefer to refer to me as Diane, Deanna, and even Liana sometimes), and I am a Community Post Moderator Lead for Bored Panda.
