Your wedding day is one of the biggest milestones in your life, a day to cherish and remember forever. But it can also be a stressful one too. With months of meticulous planning going into this celebration, you want everything to go smoothly! So you account for every potential problem that could possibly occur.

But did you think about how you’re going to go to the toilet in that huge wedding dress? With the champagne flowing, there are going to be frequent pee breaks, and it’s hardly realistic to be getting dressed and undressed each time.

Enter this British woman, only identified as Tina. She really has thought of everything, and solved this particular issue with our old friend the IKEA bag. She posted the pictures of her genius hack on IKEA hackers blog, and it quickly went viral.

Cutting a hole in the bottom of the iconic bag, Tina gathers the folds of the dress and lifts the bag up, putting the straps over her shoulders. Now the fancy, ‘mermaid-style’ wedding dress is all in one neat package, and won’t get sullied by a dirty bathroom floor. Clever, right?

“Well, I got married a few weeks ago (in a mermaid wedding dress) and I was really worried about going to the bathroom and not being able to … handle myself,” Tina said about her invention.
“Someone helping or watching me going to the bathroom on my wedding day? Not being able to have free hands to use the toilet paper? Or even worse if my period decides to show? NO WAY! Some stuff like this bridal bathroom helper exists but are expensive just because it is wedding related.”
“My bridal bathroom helper hack costs about 0.80 euro and I did it the day before my wedding. It took only 3 minutes. What I like best is it’s almost free and allows me to make my life easier on my wedding day. So here is the hack.”
People responded positively to the funny, yet effective hack
Glad I looked at all the pics before commenting. For a hot minute I thought somehow she was going to rig the bag up her dress and pee in it.
Necessity is the mother of the bride, I mean, invention. I do, however, desperately want a portable bubble bath now...
So... she was concerned about not being able to go to the restroom by herself, so she fashioned a device to allow her to do so... then invited somebody to the restroom with her to photograph her using the restroom "by herself"?
Load More Replies...Whoa there, slow down. She might be able to help you with furniture assembly too!
Load More Replies...LOL I think I only went pee once at my wedding and I held my dressmyself LOL
One of the requirements for my wedding dress was that I must be able to use the bathroom without help.
I want to know why she chose black underwear for a white wedding dress. :D
First I thought she is going to wear the bag under the dress and pee in it :D
Love Ikea and love those bags! I heard they can carry water too, that's pretty cool 👌
Yes they can! Once I made an instant aquarium for the neighborhood kids. I love Ikea & LOVE these blue bags. PS: not all are 100% waterproof though.
Load More Replies...Wear a hoop under your gown. It helps hike the dress up for those bathroom calls. I wear one under my renaissance gowns every weekend and we only have port-a-potties.
Somebody already made this and marketed here in the states. It's called Bridal Buddy. https://bridalbuddy.com/
The bride said she knew she could buy one, but this only cost 0.80 euro!
Load More Replies...When I first looked at this, I thought she had water and soap in the bag, wearing it on her.
I first thought she was peeing into the bag =D Hers is a more practical idea.
How did women get on in past eras when long full dresses were the normal mode of dress? I know they used chamberpots, but still - it must have been awkward.
Great idea, I am surprised that some helpful idea was not devised a long time ago !!!
You can actually buy these, they're like a while lace and you can wear it under you're wedding dress.
"Look everybody ! I'm pissing without anybody ogling my a*s while I do so ! ...oh, wait " :D
There was a lady on shark tank a couple years ago that actually created an underdress slip that holds up dress while using the bathroom, and looks pretty too.
Or she could have wear a much more beautiful and simpler dress instead of wearing a huge ridiculous piñata
This is actually my ex-girlfriend, i'm very happy for her.
Is it just me who wonder why her wedding DJ is following her to the toilets and photographing her peeing??
Bog standard Kent Police response to an outside complaint, spoke to the complainant, gave lots of bull to cover ourselves, complainant now satisfied, no further action by Kent Police at this time. Same attitude when I complained about inept policing in our county regarding a recent crime. Pen pushing senior officers waiting for next promotion. ... .. 2citypays.com
But why pay $40 for something you'r only going to use the once when you can pay $1 for a reusable and washable bag and cut the bottom out of it...
Load More Replies...Yeah, and pay 400 times the price. It is actually part oft he story ;)
