Walking through a lovely neighborhood in the midst of a new “stay at home” order in Oregon, with a new budding romance, having a really sweet life-affirming conversation, I saw a beautiful scene of yellow Autumn leaves framing a yellow house in this very fairytale setting and I took this shot and added it to my Instagram page: PetrichorDoor
The combination of a new romance and the beautiful season, and a sense of connection to humanity in this trying time of a holiday season in Covid-19 made me feel inspired to give a gift of random act of strangers to the household that lived in this house, completely unknown to me. So I ordered a print on Shutterfly and then I wrote a short note and wrapped it and places it in their mailbox.
I will probably never know how this gift was received. who knows?!? maybe they are freaked out by the stranger danger aspect of it, but I hope it warmed their heart and gave them inspiration.
