Artist Shows Actors Side By Side With Their Creepy Roles (18 Pics)
Interview With ArtistThere are many creepy characters out there. Many of them are unrecognizable because of the heavy makeup, masks, or SFX on them. So the owner of Fxattics Studios, Angela Norris from Brooklyn, decided to show the actors that played these famous masked roles.
Angela edited the actors next to the creepy characters so they would stand side by side. That way it's simple to see how much work and effort went into making these celebrities look completely different. Angela told Bored Panda: "I am the owner of Fxattics Studios, where I make props and Halloween masks, so I'm always trying to create works of art to increase my likes and views on the page. I had the idea to do the montage with the clown Twisty as many people don't know that he is John Carroll Lynch from the show Drew Carey. My followers liked the idea and I kept doing it."

Lord Of Darkness, Pennywise And Frank N. Furter By Tim Curry From "Legend," "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" And "It"
I also loved his Cardinal Richelieu from The Three Musketeers. He showed me that red capes are also worn by bad guys.
This man is a true legend! He even sings one of my favorite songs. Such a shame what a stroke has done to him.
He's still singing! It's on Youtube. He can't emote to act any more, which is hugely sad as he was so so excellent, but his voice is still there.
Load More Replies...I freaking LOVE Tim Curry!! Such a phenomenal actor! The Cardinal from 3 Musketeers needs to be added to this image, too.
Tim Curry deserves MAD RESPECT for never bowing to or even acknowledging the barriers or expectations of executives and others who would've judged his choices negatively. He belongs on the GOLD LIST of talented actors who have remained true to themselves and danced to a different drummer throughout their careers.
Legend is an underrated gem, even if just for Tim Curry. He has been the devil I picture in my mind since i was old enough to think about it
Love him, love him, love him.... and also his singing when playing the smog in Ferngully... ooooo
Is he the guy who played wadsworth in clue? If so he did a amazing job
Angela told us what inspired her to do this project: "I am a huge John Carroll Lynch fan and he portrays Twisty the clown of American Horror Story. So many people did not know that that was him. So, I decided to make a bunch of art pieces of horror Icons and the actors who portray them. A behind the mask and makeup, if you will."
Beetlejuice And Michael Keaton From "Beetlejuice"
Of all of Keaton's incredible roles, this one is arguably his best - AND... the one he likely had the most fun playing!!
I've loved this movie since it came out in 1988. I thought this cast worked really well for this movie.
Freddy Krueger And Robert Englund From "A Nightmare On Elm Street"
Robert will always be the best Freddy in my opinion, for nostalgia reasons mostly 😆. That body in plastic being dragged down the school hall was one of the most terrifying movie moments of my childhood
Wooooo!!! Robert England is the S**T. There is NO Freddy unless it's Robert playing him.
He was likable in "V" - a ground breaking sci-fi TV mini-series from the 80's.
She also shared what the goal of this project is: "The goal was to generate some followers for my business page. I try to make things that I like and what interests me because I know so many people love horror out there as much as I do."
Angela created this project on her own and she chose the characters based on the most popular creepy characters in movies and TV shows. The project took her a couple of days.
Pennywise And Bill Skarsgård From "It"
Fun fact: The lazy eye in Pennywise was not done post production, Bill had a lazy eye as a child and trained himself to hold his eye correctly. All he had to do was let his muscles relax on that side to create the effect.
Oh yes and there's a picture of Bill showing it to Bill Hader who didn't know it wasn't done post-production and that picture is brilliant. https://www.boredpanda.com/bill-skarsgard-scares-bill-hader-with-eyes-pennywise-it/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=organic
Load More Replies...Different Pennywise but also brilliantly acted by Bill Skarsgård...
How can a kid be Pennywise it looks like a grown adult that's shocking though
Samara And Daveigh Chase From "The Ring"
They should have included Bonnie Morgan, the contortionist who did all the creepy-crawling scenes.
The artist tells us more about herself: "I was born in Salem, Massachusetts, so you could say horror is in my blood. I have been in love with horror and monsters since I was 4 years old, at which time I accidentally watched A Nightmare on Elm Street with my brother Ken. My husband Alan and I run Fxattics Studios. I run the artistic side and he runs the business and marketing. I got the better end of the deal, if I do say so myself.
We have two children, Abigail, who is 10, and Adam, who is 14. They are often used as models and in our promotional videos. The apple didn't fall far, that's for sure. All the magic happens in Brooklyn, Michigan, which is where Fxattics Studios is located."
Twisty The Clown And John Carroll Lynch From "American Horror Story"
That sure is one creepy *ss clown... AHS is a brilliant series.
Predator And Big Foot By, Kevin Peter Hall From "The Predator" And "Harry And The Hendersons"
Jean Claude Van Damm was going to be the Predator and got fired from the role.
"Ever since I was a kid, I wanted to make monsters. Rick Baker, Tom Savini, and Ve Neil were my superheroes. The transformation scene in An American Werewolf in London—a thing of beauty. I was hooked. Sculpting and creating is a dream. I have sold masks to almost every continent. Hundreds worldwide. Each one handmade by us. Seeing the joy our masks have brought to people makes everything we do worth it. There's something about being the bump in the night on Halloween that fuels us."
Chucky And Brad Dourif From "Child's Play"
Grima Wormtongue too! Brad Dourif is an awesome character actor
Was awesome in Dune (the 1980s one) and the Babylon 5 episode he was in too
Load More Replies...He will always be the dude from "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" to me.
His character Billy Bibbit was brilliantly performed. Douriff was nominated for Best Supporting Actor in 1976, but George Burns won the Oscar...
Load More Replies...I didn't know that was Brad Dourif! I think that Wormtongue was scarier, though.
I think he was on Criminal Minds as the puppet guy (it was a great episode)
Awesome that's where the creepy voice comes in very nice but I don't like Chucky toy I just like how it's so good animated and all that
I remember being teased at school for wearing a rainbow t-shirt and dungarees. I was called both Matilda and Chucky, lol.
Valak And Bonnie Aarons From "The Nun"
Has anyone seen the The Nun promo prank? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I5bd29uys0o
I grew up feeling very worried that perhaps someday the Baroness Joy von Troken would illegally become Queen of Genovia, I also planned to live in Genovia someday. Lmao. :'D
I remember watching this movie when I was 15/16 years old with my best friend. Ofcourse we're home alone. After it we wanted to get something to drink out of the kitchen. There was a bubly noise coming from the sink. Never been that scared in my life 😂
Whoops.. wait it was a diffrent movie that's also called the nun.https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Nun_(2005_film)
Load More Replies..."What I love about horror is that it creates feelings much like being in love. The feeling of being scared and not knowing what's coming next is so stimulating. Obviously, on the fictional level. I fell in love with my husband while watching horror movies. He had not seen many when we met. Still brings us together now. We scare each other all the time. Even the kids will hide for minutes on end for the perfect scare.
At the end of the day, we teach and preach that real monsters do not wear masks. We love what we do and know that the horror genre isn't for everyone. For those like us who love it, we try to create content that stimulates, gets that blood pumping."
Leprechaun And Warwick Davis From "Leprechaun"
Great movie, it also has Jennifer Aniston in a very early role, maybe even her first film. Warwick Davis is a good dude.
Pinhead And Doug Bradley From "Hellraiser"
fun fact at the premiere nobody in the cast recognise him because they only saw him in make up
I only found out a while back that there are like ten Hellraiser movies. I think 3 is the last one I've watched.
"That's what it's all about. My mom and dad told me I could be anything I wanted when I grew up, even when I told them I wanted to make scary monsters and masks. I am proof that you can make dreams come true if you are willing to do the hard work to get there. We scare because we care."
What do you think of these edits? did any of these surprise you? Tell us in the comments down below and don't forget to show some love to Angela on her social media!
Michael Myers And Tony Moran From "Halloween"
This film, the film in which the female lead survives, this film which has 3 female deaths and 3 male deaths, is misogynistic?
Load More Replies...Leatherface And Gunnar Hansen From "The Texas Chain Saw Massacre"
Mine did too, with some film-fanatic pals. I have ye to see the movie. Any of them, LOL.
Load More Replies...RIP Gunnar, I was lucky enough to meet him once and he was a gentlemen and Leatherface is one of the top horror icons of all time.
Not at ALL what I thought Leatherface looked like under his ... leather ... face ...
Creeper And Jonathan Breck From "Jeepers Creepers"
I liked the 1st 2 but thought the 3rd was disappointing considering what it promised.
Load More Replies...I once read that a sound effects guy used his wife's macaroni cheese to make grotesque sounds for this movie.
Jason Voorhees And Kane Hodder From "Friday The 13th"
Kane Hodder has had a long an terrifying career. Check out his IMDB page; his scary stuff wouldn't fit in a single photo.
First horror film I ever watched was Friday The 13th, I was only six or seven, and I loved it.
Hey it’s Kane Hodder! I wanna meet him eventually I heard he’s a great guy
My birthday in 2019 was on Friday the 13th and me, being my innocent self, couldn't figure out why people were pretending to be scared of me.
Captain Spaulding And Sid Haig From "House Of 1000 Corpses"
Met him as well, another nice guy, and Captain Spaulding is a great character, especially the opening scene of House Of 1000 Corpses.
Thank you so much for posting Sid Haig. I was hoping this crazy clown would appear in this list. He was soo funny. Sid will be missed deeply.
Met him at two different horror conventions! Yup, very nice guy.
San And Quinn Lord From "Trick 'R Treat"
This movie deserves more praise then it gets. This creates the atmosphere of Halloween spot on, also liked the humor and the story.
Lol I actually dressed up as sam for Halloween last year it was pretty fun and I just had an overall great time
Clown And David Howard Thornton From The Film "Terrifier"
I thought this movie was creepy, not scary, but just creepy. Seeing the guy who played the clown, takes the creepy factor away.
He was just increadible as Art. So weird and scary and intriguing all at once
No worries just someone getting CUT IN HALF in the background. Totally not scary
aGh i hate that. if the whole movie is that, NOPE i am very sensitive to b l o o d
Load More Replies...My daughter and I love this movie. We mimic it all the time. Art the clown is hysterical and creepy
Sorry for the confusion; I couldn't edit my original comment: My computer went nuts-what I meant to say is how does one not note Doug Jones. He was in Hellboy, Pan's Labyrith, Fantastic 4, The Shape of Water and he also played Slender man just to name a few.
Good call. Excellent actor. Scary in "Pan's Labyrinth". And I do believe he was also one of the humanoid cockroaches in "Mimic", called Long John .
Load More Replies...no wonder people are afraid of clowns, there's so many horror movies with them
Yes. But even when I was a toddler and my family took us to a circus, I was terrified of the clowns, at first sight. Couldn't stand them after that. And definitely not in any movie
Load More Replies...My husband adores the genre. Me? I'm off elsewhere reading a book, b/c no way!
Load More Replies...I'm sorry..but how could anyone put this list together and forget good ole Boris Karloff? He was the king of horror movie monsters.
Ifor years I have always wondered who the actress behind the main character looked like and now I finally know. I can't believe I forgot about twisty the Clown and how great of a makeup job they did with that character on AHS
