That must have taken a lot of confidence to sing vows, in front of everyone he knows, at his wedding. He may or may not have had a great singing voice, but rarely does anyone. The least OP could do is just appreciate his bravery and be a bit more supportive.

my father arranged a coach for everyone to and from venues. As a little surprise gift, when I went to get on the bus after the church, my dad stopped us. He had ordered some old classic car to take us for a romantic drive first. It was actually fantastic, I wouldn't have thought to plan in a little time just for my husband and I to talk, I know we were taken to some romantic view point and the driver had been told to take a few pictures, but as he later told my dad, we were so busy talking and being happy he left us to it. After the hectic last days of planning with each of us with our own families, to spend some time realising we had just married our best friend was joyous. Obviously the guests did not stand around, they got started on the celebrations. When we arrived to a party in full swing, I loved that too. My sister did ask if we needed time to 'go consummate' but I doubted I'd get back in to the dress, and we wanted to share our joy.

My grandfather did something similar to his father’s barn during a wedding once. He’d just learned in scouts how to make a a fire and wanted to show off to his cousin. Unfortunately, he did this on a stack of tar shingles. Luckily nobody was hurt but the wedding party had to become a fire brigade, it being rural Wisconsin in the early 30s.

No food and music - okay, not nice. But not knowing anyone? What, and you had nothing to start a conversation about with the other people, right? Like the wedding, the missing food, "how are you related to the couple", nothing? Gosh, such a kindergarten complaint.

It seems kinda weird to assume the bride's father would pay -I mean, I would assume the newlyweds' families took it, but if I were to mention it, I'd ask first. Or maybe the groom was an orphan and bride had only her father left, in which case it's a heavy financial burden for one person.

I was working at a huge expensive wedding with all the bells and whistles. Throughout the formalities the groom looked realky bored and unhappy and as soon as he could at the reception he left the main table and was sitting with his friends drinking. The bride was getting more and more angry. At one stage I had to go outside to get something and they were having a huge argument. He then stormed off and later reappeared drinking with his friends again getting completely wasted. The other one was a huge formal outdoor wedding. The brides sister got up with a guitar to sing a song she written. Problem was she sang into a microphone but her guitar wasn't miced so all you could hear was her terrible voice. She was too close to the mic as well. Everyone was cringing
