I remember this from the news, last August in Sarnia, ON (not too far from me in Toronto, closer to my daughter). Driver was a 73yo woman attempting to park whose foot accidentally slid from the brake pedal to the gas; she was ultimately charged with careless driving. Fortunately, only minor injuries to one male bystander inside the building caused by falling glass. Unclear if either were actually involved in taking a driving test that day, but it certainly does make for a great image, especially knowing that both humans and the building were repairable (I'm guessing the vehicle was less lucky).

There's a company yard across the street (Verizon) from where I live that has this green stuff on its fences. I've spent years idly wondering what's behind the green stuff. Then we had some pretty bad winds and the green stuff finally ripped to bits and some of it came right off the fence. It's just a bunch of random rusty giant metal bobbins and a few company vans behind the fence. Much disappoint XD

To each their own, but this movie was awful. Who in their right mind casts Matthew McConaughey in a sci-fi as a spaceman? A folksy farmer spaceman! The story was confusing from start to finish and every scene felt both abrupt and meandering. It was like watching one big long montage. I only sat through it because I was stuck on a plane and needed a distraction. I'm not always comfortable flying, but by the end of this stinker I was ready to d*e.
