I hope @FrancesBCN see this. Yes, you need to bleach your hair, at least if you have it darker than light blonde or platinum blonde. It damages the hair, but before you do anything you should condition your hair deeply during the week before you have planned to dye your hair, so the damage isn't that terrible. You could try with hydrating hair mask, olive/coconut oil, avocado, egg, even mayo haha. I don't know if it does contain ammonia, at least Rebel Glow it's a vegan brand, so I suppose it doesn't contain anything harmful for you, Otowil i don't know, and maybe you could try with Manic Panic too, they have amazing colors that i haven't personally tried, but people say they're good. Maybe it turns out green or kind of greenish at the first time, because logic (yellow + blue = green) but you can always retouch and it will eventually become blue. You also need to take care of it after you dye it, condition you hair very often, at least once or twice or it will become SO FREAKING DRY.

I've been thinking about a few strands of blue in my hair (I'm not ready for a full rainbow!), but I was concerned that I'd have to bleach the hair first before applying the colour. Is it possible to put the colour directly on the hair? Is it harmful for the hair, i.e. does it contain ammonia? Thanks
