I know this probably won't be popular but I have a lot of depression, anxiety and a bunch of physical issues. I use my medical marijuana. It has always helped me out with a minimum of side effects and usually cheers me up a little. And then it helps me enjoy books, music and specially comedy so much better. I've tried almost every med out there and this covers the most symptoms by far. If this fails...stay in bed.

I use it too. When I'm mad, it calms me or to just help me relax after a hard day. It's better than booze and pills, at least you and I know that. My sister used it for knee pain, nausea after chemo and at night to help her sleep. Worked better than any pharmaceutical she's ever been on.

I first used Marijuana when I was 45 and dealing with severe arthritic pain. Not only did it help with the pain AND swelling, I realized that I had never been relaxed in my life. It was life changing to know what it feels like without stress and worry. It was amazing. I use carefully and I understand risks about "self-medicating". I tell all my docs, they don't care. Texas needs to FINALLY legalize marijuana!!!!

I hate to ruin everyone's fantasy, because it's honestly a nice one. The average tub is 30 gallons, which would require 120 jello packets, costing roughly $240 per jello bath. Ok, OP is independently wealthy, and money is meaningless. Now they need to dissolve it all. Still cool, that's what servants are for, right? Not going to continue doing the math because now we have to refrigerate to set. Your bathroom is also a walk-in freezer? Damn, imma go work on getting my foot outta my mouth.

    Community Member

That was an issue at first, but then I realized I could use a plastic tarp liner in the bathtub and I don't have to drain it. Also, you can steal a squeegee from a gas station to scrape the jello off your body.

I knit or crochet. A lot of the time I'm not even making anything specific just doing it for the sheer relaxation of making something out of a ball of yarn. I learned while I was convalescing from an operation and now I'm horribly addicted.

I do this sometimes, too. My whole jaw locks up in this weird way. It's like a strange aversion to confrontation. I know I grew up in a hous where there was a lot of fighting so maybe it affected me but... I feel like I can't function when someone yells at me. I'd almost rather them hit me because I could be physically violent easier than the verbal confrontation.

So, please don't take this as criticism but rather just an anecdote I wanna add. I have been on the other end of that kind of behavior a lot and I think it was one of the bigger problems that ended my marriage. Whenever we had an argument, my ex wife would always just stare at me and say nothing, even when adressed directly or asked a question. Multiple times when we were not fighting, I brought it up that it seriously concerned me, maybe try to get to the bottom of this, but she never even wanted to recognize it as a problem. So of course I wanted to respect her view on that and not force my opinion on her, but when we were fighting, it just made me furious because it was like talking to a wall and no issure ever got resolved. Nowadays i don't mourn after that relationship any more for different reasons, but it still makes me sad that we never found a way to resolve that particular conflict.

When we had carrot cake at work, people would always leave a big rim of frosting on the cake sheet, and it'd just get thrown away. Probably a package worth of cream cheese at least. I started scraping it up into a little container and taking it home to use on my zucchini bread. Really, I could just eat it with a spoon though.

I bring all three dogs on the couch with me after getting some buttered popcorn, finding the most appealing cheesy movie in my queue on one of the streaming channels, and settling in for a binge session. After I feel even-tempered enough to face what's bothering me, I share it with my husband and he helps me find a solution or a way to accept that there isn't one.

Onanism, then guilt, depression, and onanism again. Rinse & repeat until sleep sets in.

Crying. Sometimes it needs to happen, or you’ll stay on this emotional edge of holding back tears until you snap. Pair this with talking out what’s going on with my best friend and it makes me feel eons better. If you’re reading this dev, you’ve helped me through every shitty thing that’s been thrown at me the past few months and I couldn’t be more greatful, thank you

Caffeine. Give me that s**t every day. Whether it be coke, tea, or a Red Bull. Struggling with self-death thoughts. I need it almost every day. i can go caffeine-free for like a week, but after that I get cranky

Please be aware that no matter how isolated you may feel in your struggles, there is SOMEONE out there who would miss you terribly if you left. Get help, I promise it's worth it.

This is the second post where you've mentioned self-death thoughts. You okay dude?

I bounce my leg, constantly! My dude said that being in bed with me is like sleeping in one of those magic fingers beds because I bounce my leg a ton before falling asleep.

Me, too. Mostly when I had to attend meetings and had to sit still for long periods. Right leg would start bouncing up and down and this would go on during the entire meeting. Drove my friend crazy when I'd do it when we were out eating at a restaurant. Only way I could sit still and not jump up and move around.
