Hey Pandas, What’s The Oddest Thing Your Afraid Of Or Was Afraid Of
When I was really young ( like 7 and 8 ) I was terrified of automatic flushing toilets. No Joke. If I saw a automatic flushing toilet, I would run out of that bathroom, I don’t really know how it started, but my mom said I got over it at a chick-fil-a in St. Louis.

When I was in school I had an irrational fear of farting in public. It more had to do with the fear of embarrassment than anything. It was primarily in the classroom where this fear manifested itself. I was diagnosed with IBS around that time time well so you can imagine the torment I endured. My diet wasn't the best either and I had a pretty severe social anxiety disorder that just amplified everything.
The worst was being assigned to the front row or on test taking day where the room is dead silent aside from pencils scratching the paper, pages turning, and the occasional cough.
Now I realize it stemmed mainly from my social anxiety and over worrying about what everyone thought of me. I only endure this ever on the first day of a new job but it is nothing like it once was. It's so much more tolerable.

I was afraid of the bathtub drain when I was like 4. The drain made this gurgling noise and I was having none of it. I started getting out without draining the tub and making someone else do it. Or I’d use a broom handle. Lol. That got old fast but it had a little toggle switch on a plate that drained it so I invented a solution. I got a string and tied it to the switch, wrapped it around the shower head, and attached it to the light switch. That way I wouldn’t see or hear it when I turned off the light and shut the door!
As a child, I watched Maximum Overdrive and for years it made me terrified of "junky cars." Any car that had rust, dents, marks from an accident, looked really old, etc. If my parents parked next to one, I was too afraid to get out of my parent's car.
