We live in a Waikiki high rise and the wind makes the sliding windows screech terribly. The soft plastic rulers and shims are wedged in the sliding tracks and work perfectly. His unique invention!

What prompted you to name him that? My sister found a bunny hopping down a quiet street in our neighborhood (this was decades ago) and she ended up naming it Gimmeakiss.

Pugs are my favorite pups! There I used to run into a woman in Golden Gate Park who had a black pug with a flashy collar and a saucy walk who was named Pearl. She was absolutely adorable!

My grandmother died in 1989. I still miss her even though I’m now a senior citizen and she died half my life ago. After her funeral my grandfather gave me the very simple, thin white gold wedding ring that was all they could afford during the Great Depression and it is the most emotionally valuable thing I own. Enjoy as much time together as you can—you won’t regret a moment of it!

My dog , Gunner was the best gift I've ever received. He had the best personality (goofy, sweet, and excitable.) and was great with little kids. He would let them try ride him and never nipped or growled when they pulled his tail or clambered on top of him. Last January/February though we noticed Gunner acting more tired. Soon after he developed a limp and noticed a mass in his tight leg/shoulder. We took him to the vet and learned he had lymphoma. In August he passed away at only 4 years old. I don't have him anymore but I hope you guys know the impact a dog can have on your life.

I love flat coat retrievers. They do suffer from cancer a lot. My boy was lucky we had him for 12 years. He passed after having a spinal stroke

Yes cancer is VERY common in flat coats. Our vet was very surprised that Zac lasted 12 years.

I'm so sorry you don't have any photos of your best gift ever....but wonder if you might consider gifting something to yourself: have an artist paint or sketch you a portrait of your best memory with Zeusl---just be sure to provide as detailed a description of him as you can. I bet it would be a comfort to have that in your home now....Please accept my condolences on Zeus's passing.

2 years ago, christmas. my 11 years old boy knew i wanted to get the next call of duty but i rarely buy something for myself and that kind of money i always put it for my boy could play soccer so rarely i buy games for myself. but he told my wife he wanted to give me that game and with his own money he goes with my wife and bought it. it had to hold myself to not burst in crying when i saw that. it's not the gift but the thought he had to buy it with his own money who touch me

My sister payed 1k in vet-bills (about 4k total) when we had still hope for Strolch. It was meant as loan but she didn't want me to remember that time everytime I payed a little bit back so she gifted it. Best sister ever and you bet christmas and birthday gifts for her doubled.
