5% is a lot of people yk. 8 billion (I believe) people in earth. I'm not gonna do math here, but 5% is quite a few people, more than enough to deserve respect and accommodation. I'd assume that the amount of people who need to always be constantly using a wheelchair, but we still need to have disability accommodation and ramps. It's a similar idea (don't quote me on any of this, I don't have the energy to look things up just to argue with an internet transphobe)
