I've seen a lot of dismal to apocalyptic predictions, especially regarding the US. I want to hear your positive predictions. It could be as broad or as specific as you like.

I'm trying to be optimistic that this is the year I get control of my body. It's a plan I make every year and fail every year.
My body has been through a lot - cancer twice - and I owe it so much for sticking with me and surviving.
But it needs to be looked after now. It needs to stop being abused by food and my mental state. It deserves a break and a healthy new mindset.
I hope I don't write this same thing next year, or before it's too late.
Obesity is a horrible, all-consuming mental illness. For those of you that say "stop eating so much" or "eat healthy".... it's not that easy when your mind is your biggest enemy. Have some compassion, and pray you never know what it's like.

More people will turn to traditional skills to attain as much self-sufficiency as possible. Gardening, canning, farming, carpentry, sewing etc... Can't afford a house on my salary, I'll learn to build my own!

You'll need to learn how to apply for your own permits, connect to the power grid, and sewage. You will have to overcome a great deal of bureaucracy put into place so people don't go build their own homes. Additionally, in most places the primary cost of the home isn't the house, it's the land. My "house" is probably worth $50K but the 1800 sqft lot it's on is another $600K.

I'd love for this to be real because it means they're actually paying attention to what's going on and not just what's being said. I don't mean to alarm anyone but I'm still pointing out to my maga coworkers that some things things they complain about actually were put into law by their Republicans. They don't care.......they don't care. Anything is better than "the left".

My take on it is this: Trump *looks* like he is old and losing his mind. Musk *seems* neither. It *looks* like Musk bought Trump - only, Trump will soon be US president, and that's not something Musk can take away from him. I predict an "interesting" four years...

I don't have much hope for the human race anymore. We spent 2020 saying be kind, be gentle - basically be a better person and how long did that last? Nowhere near long enough. Having said that, I will continue to be me - stand up for what I believe and not hold a grudge and look after the animals I love who deserve more than so many people give.

I predict we will gain some very interesting scientific knowledge from the Parker Solar Probe in 2025. For those who do not know, this probe just got it's first taste of our sun's corona on Dec.24th.

Or a trans or nonbinary person; or a person with a disability; or a brown or Indigenous person; or an atheist, etc... Sad thing is, if we all worked together instead of against each other, we would hold the majority. There's more of us "minorities" than the dominant culture's "majority".

I think more people are seeing not only the benefit of eating a fully plant based diet, but actually becoming a true vegan and avoiding the mass cruelty that is rampant . I think eyes are finally ( slowly) opening.❤️🤞🏻

I try and have 2 -3 days a week fully vegan but sometimes I just crave meat. Sometimes your body just wants what it wants, but at least I'm eating less meat and meat products than before.

I think Trump is going to throw US support behind Russia in the Ukraine invasion. So in some ways, I believe him when he says he can end that war quickly, it will just end in Russia's favor. A cease fire in Palestine is nice, but it won't last. It never does. There are two opposing forces each committed to the absolute eradication of the other, in a level of fanaticism which the ends are justified by any means necessary. Including their own eradication.

after the 8+ yrs in which it seems some people have become empowered to show a more negative side of themselves i am hoping that they will realize that such behavior, words, and thoughts are more destructive to themselves than those that they target. and, i don't mean just the republicans/maga or democrats/liberal/progressives as there has been actions from all sides that have been been harmful - that means both active and passive action, by the way. while i know that some will disagree with me i do believe that the majority of people have a good side to themselves and it is often hidden due to personal experiences because they don't want to be vulnerable again. with the current climate of division, we all need to be more courageous to come out of our shells and stick our foot on the algae regardless of how our so-called leaders want to turn the tide against us as citizens.

My prediction is that I will be able to put away a little money each year so I can buy a house in 5 year's time. I need to put together a $100K down payment, and I have worked out the math to make it happen, but I need to avoid HUGE new expenses.
