Last year I went to our local annual library sale at the fairground. This was the first I had heard of it and I now plan on going each year.
I live in an RV and the room is a problem. I converted the TV area into a coffee station with one side for coffee, sugar, etc., and the other a library.
When I go this year, I know I will go crazy and buy more than I should. I'm looking for ideas to show my future books without having to hide them.

Not Mine But It's Certainly Unique (Book Vending Machine In Madrid, Spain)
Yeah, this is the metro of Madrid and some train/bus big stations. Unfortunately with the COVID and spread of the public WIFI these machines are removed but was a f****g good idea. I bought books this way at least three times. Prices are also good and selection of titles was good too. Notice that the lower levels are child books so the little ones can see them and bother dad to have one new book...
What a brilliant idea. It looks like this was installed in a metro or train station as it says "make your trip short with one of these books."
Narrow Hallway In Small House = Perfect Place For Narrow Floating Bookcase On Wall
You guys I can’t beleive this. In 2020 my family decided to move from Texas to Utah, and it did not go as planned. Instead of living w my grandma for two months and buying a house, we lived with my grandma for nine months and built a house. And it still wasn’t done, so we had to stay in an Airbnb for four months. This is the Airbnb I’m pretty sure. I have so many memories in that house. It’s where I came out to my parents, it’s where I got my first girlfriend, it’s where I truly began to find myself.
I really like this! I've always wanted to set up something similar in my house
I had to count every book that I owned and then calculate exactly how wide and how tall each shelf was because it's so narrow that if more than one or two books are removed from each shelf then all of the books can be knocked off which is a pain to pick up but the only way to comfortably add a floating bookcase to my very narrow hallway. Before this floating bookcase was built I had to stack all of the books in my pantry because I had nowhere else to store them and they are very sentimental to me because they were all of my dads books. I built a single shelf all the way around the top of the spare bedroom wall to put all of his hardback books but I needed somewhere to store the paperback books that he would buy to read on his lunchbreaks before he passed away. My father loved to read more than anything else. The day he passed away he was reading J.A.Jance's book titled Second Watch and was on page 236 or 237. I cried when I found it on his nightstand with his glasses beside it.

Not Books But This Is How I Have My Albums Displayed :)
I guess it's not necessarily unique, but it makes me happy :)
I see k-pop, I upvote lol, love the collection, I just have 1 album, PROOF (BTS), so this is my dream lol
Haha, it's taken years of collecting. I started off with I think Love Yourself: Her by BTS back in 2017 so this is about 6 years worth. I hope you'll be able to reach your dream! 🥰
Load More Replies...Yay! I love finding others in random places haha
Load More Replies...And the albums- seeing fellow Carats makes me hella happy :>
Load More Replies...I just saw this, sorry!! Yeah, I think I have about 8 of their albums 🥰 do you have any?
Load More Replies...Nice, but definitely not enough room for my books. (I'm looking around for ideas for better storage options.)
Kitty Librarian
I feel like this picture is less about the books and more about the cat and the ladder.
I'm pretty sure the ladder is a Christmas "tree" judging from the ornaments. I love the creativity.

Now that's what I need...except there would be no place to put my clothes.
Coffee Station/Library
I looove that jar! I bought the saucer to go with it and it broke.
Load More Replies...Many Libraries In The House But This Is In My Cottage
I have many stashes of books throughout the house and once I have read the books currently residing on the shelves I'll reload them from the stashes. I will, of course, replenish the various stashes. The books on the my shelves are, well, randomly disordered! My husband's bookshelves on the other hand are rigidly ordered, it hurts my eyes to look at them 😂
Pretty, but would never fit my books lol. (Think I had close to 200 last I checked.)
Smallest library in the house:)

I actually like this. This rv is not on steady ground so it's not level. My books would fall if I attempted this
An Old Drawer For Some Of My Stephen King's Books
Would not even fit my favorite book series, (22 books). Cool looking idea though.
Well You Know Not Real Books But I'm Very Proud Of It
Took me a while to see that it was a miniature, I was like "how much hot glue did they use on that ?!?" I love it
There Are More Books Behind The Front Row. And That Is Only My Small Library In My Room
Very well done. I made a bookshelf with my step-dad. Each shelf is three rows deep....still not enough room for all my books lol. Yes I'm a major bookworm, and yes I've read nearly all my books. (I've a small to be read selection I cycle through. The rest are old friends.)
Mostly My Toddler's
Not sure this would fit the kids books....my family has a book shelf in every room except the kitchen and bathrooms.
Maybe Not Super Unique, But My Mom Has Always Color Coordinated Her Books And Artfully Placed The Tchotchkes To Cohabitate With Them
Why do you feel the need to say this on everyone's posts? It's their space to fit their items, so saying that is pointless and pretty rude....

Not enough room for my books or my stuffed otters. You have really cute piggies.
Not All My Books, But A Few Of Them, With Some Art And Pics :)
Pretty idea. But would not fit any of my families books. I'm starting to think we just need to build our own library building.
I'm not posting any of my bookcases; too much dust to clean first. But I love posts like these.
the house is long gone now, but my childhood home, built by my parents when I was one year old, held over 6,000 books at any given time, plus tons of great magazines of the day (1950's through late 90's, when my brother and I rented the house from Mom and Dad after they moved out of town to a country house). There wasn't a room in that little place that didn't have books, and I mean even the lone bathroom had them. We four were all taught to read very early, and we all grew up loving to read. My brother, when he bought the house from Mom and Dad in 1990, custom built a little bookcase for the bathroom because the one that was in there was far too large for that tiny space. Wish I had pictures of the house, but after bro sold it to our niece and her husband, much changed (still tons of books...she's a school teacher, he's a nerd (a good one)), and I no longer had access to the house, of course.
You are fortunate your parents raised you with a love of books. I don't use an e-reader, because there is nothing like the feel of a book, sight of a book.
Load More Replies...Ummm...does a plain wood bookshelf count any more? Nothing inspiring. When I finally have a house, those bookshelves will surround a fireplace. I hope.
My mom used to cover the books with wallpaper or wrapping paper! Looked neat-o, but no idea which book was which!
