Well my story for meeting my best friend is kinda lame, we just met in one of our classes last year. But an even more interesting story (still not that interesting) is how I met me current gf.
It was my first relationship and I was still getting used to everything, and I was going to meet some of my ex's friends. I met them and it didn't really seem to be anything special, and I never really got along with any of them. Fast forward through 4 more girlfriends, the same girl I met has had a crush on me for three months (and at this point she's been really nice to me for a long time, so I have some feelings for her too) and I agree to date her :) This got really off topic lol, sorry
Strangely enough, I met my best friend through a comment section for a YouTube thing.
I made a comment, she responded, we bantered, and then we just kept talking on it. Eventually we shared emails.
I didn't think we'd actually continue talking. And neither did she. Figured it would be one of those things that fizzled after a week or so and then never got thought of again.
And truth be told Ive never trusted making friends on the internet. I think it's sketchy and you never really know who someone is behind the screen. But we just clicked like nothing else and for the first (and probably only) time I didn't let my reservations win. So glad I didn't.
Nearly three years now and she's the first person I turn to when I have something exciting to share or when I'm having a bad day and she's the same way.
We video chat near constantly and we're actually planning to get together for a convention next year. Can't wait to cook together without a camera connecting us!
This is probably a boring answer, but neither of us has any idea how we became friends. Our best guess is we just happened to be in the same kindergarten class and got along (she has a yearbook from that year and subsequent elementary years).
We've been best friends for about 26 years, and I can't remember ever having fought over anything. We've had disagreements and hurt feelings but have always been able to maturely talk them out and move on. I'm super excited for her wedding and honored to be her choice for maid of honor!!
