No bashing trumpets because we are the best instrument to exist. There is nothing wrong can do wrong and if you disagree I going to smack you with my brass tube of perfection.

Haha our Altos are super annoying and always playing out of turn. I don't think I've ever heard them talk but they'll look you in the eyes as they play while the rest of the band us completely silent

It’s not true in every case but most of the trumpets we had were loud, rambunctious, and/or interesting.

I mean if it’s it’s of any importance to you I drew Freddie Purrcury on the white board once and when I came in the next day it had been erased. I asked why and apparently she doesn’t like people wasting her materials.

I have played the trumpet for 40 years, and I would love to hear what people say about it :-) Especially since this OP is absolutely correct! Interesting is a great thing <3

    1. Cello is probably thr best stringed instrument in an orchestra. Don't get me wrong, the rest are great, but the cello can do everything that a violin, viola, and bass acanthus do and make it sound beautiful. 2. It's kinda funny that no one knows the difference between a violin and viola. I heard a joke that violas are named so short because they try to be remembered easier. And lastly 3. Guitars are the fricken funnest instrument to play. I play all kinds of instruments, but so far my guitar is by far the funnest

Btw, I have viola friends and we all joke about them and they think it's funny since no one really does know the difference violins and violas

I have a couple. One- flutes are angels. They never do anything wrong, they never talk out of turn or play while the director is talking. Two- I'm not sure if this is a real stereotype, but all of the clarinets I know are short as hell. Like, less that 5'5 at most and the shortest few are maybe 4'8, if I'm being generous. - trumpet player

Huh I guess my band is just short as hell. The only people who are 5'8+ are me (5 8), a dude in the trombone section, and one of the flutes, who isba slightly shorted 5 8tham me and I always give him s**t about it

Most violin players were pretty much forced into it as s young child by their parents who want famous classical musicians for children. Most of us do actually come to love/like playing though.

I've never had anyone tell me about this squidward thing, but hello fellow clarinet player! may all your reeds be the perfect amount of moist every time

One of my clarinet friends was complaining loudly and aggressively about a reed brand tasting weird for weeks at a time and I had no idea how to react lol... ig those are the problems that you'll have when you insist on changing your mouthpiece every five minutes (:

My profile pic for my clarinet-playing friend is literally a Squidward meme because it was the only thing I could find when googling “aesthetic clarinet”

    1) Lead guitarists are loud and have an ego so big,it won't fit through the door. 2) Drummers are loud, obnoxious, and dumb as a box of rocks. 3) Bassists are laid back, easy going, and hold down the groove without the ego.

I play bass guitar so according to this I should be very chill but I also play trumpet

Okay, for me it's that people who play the flute tend to be quiet yet really kind people and people who play the saxophone either chose it just to play careless whisper or they play it because they actually just like the instrument but also either really sweet people or hyper and are also in theatre

Everyone who's good is in theatre. I swear I am good and I'll be in theatre once our theatre doesn't actually suck. But yeah all you ever hear form the saxes when they're warming up is careless whisper. Flute people act quiet but I'm friends with one and he's 1) loud 2) dumb 3) he's also a tenor in choir with me and all tenors are dumb as hell and loud (I say as a tenor) so that might explain it.

Yeah, for me I have to agree with the tenor and cus i have tenor friends and i only say flutes are quiet cus my friends who play flute are so quiet. But as a Mezzo and a guitar player, i am pretty much the goofball of the group

God you don't have to tell me. There's a percussionist on my band who really shouldn't eb on the drum kit because he's in two of our bands and he does something else (idk) in the period I'm in, but he keeps going over to the drum kit and being loud
