7 Powerful Harry Potter Scenes That Did Not Make It To The Movies Finally Come To Life Thanks To This Illustrator

People say that the book is always better than the movie. Mostly because the movie leaves things out. To help Potterheads visually revisit their favorite moments from the series, artist Katie Knudson from Orlando, Florida, is drawing Harry Potter movie scenes that didn’t make the films, and probably even J.K. Rowling would be happy to see them.
“My mom read Harry Potter books to me as I grew up,” Katie told Bored Panda. “Even the last one which came out when I was in high school. It formed an exceptional bond between the two of us!”
Katie came up with the idea for her fanart project when someone reminded her of the scene where Luna randomly walks up to Harry and proclaims her support for him. “I just thought it was a great scene and I felt inspired to draw it really quickly. It was so well received that I realized I wasn’t the only one who missed these forgotten and deleted scenes, so I just kept finding them and drawing them!” The artist always tries to cover the famous movie scenes that are important character moments. “Anything emotional or formative for a character, like the state of Neville’s parents. It makes me sad when that kind of character development is forgotten.”
“It can take anywhere from 10-20 hours to go from planning and sketching the scene, all the way to releasing it online,” Katie said. “I try to spend as much time as possible making them accurate to the text as I can.” Continue scrolling and enjoy this compilation of wonderful Harry Potter fanart. And if you really like them, you can support Knudson on Patreon.

A Harry Potter comics never fail to make my day! I was wondering (*stares with puppy eyes) if you would make a second part?
We neeeeeeeed a second part
Yesss!!
PLEEEEEAAAASEEEEE? PLEZ PLEZ PLEEEEEEZ? We need one with peeves... the one where Fred and George are all "Giver her (Umbridge) hell from hus, Peeves!"
Yes my Potterhead self is happy!
YAY! Love this artist for making the scenes we looked foreward to, but never got to see.
umm... is it just me or are harry and heormine black? Im not making a racist comment, i just thought something was... different
This is an artist interpretation since the books never actually mentioned Harry's or Hermione's skin colors. J.K. Rowling purposefully left out those descriptive details so kids could easily relate to the characters.
J.K. Rowling never said that! How Hermione looks is open for INTERPRETATION. Her looks are how people want to see her based on an individual basis. If you want to imagine Emma Watson as Hermione, then go ahead. I understand. I always imagine Emma as Hermione personally. The point is, don't judge people for how they want to see their fictional characters. It's a matter of opinion, not fact.
Well that's a load of bullshit. J.K. Rowling does not state that Hermione is white, but she does describe here skin in several occasions and she describes it as if Hermione was very light skinned. This pathetic and forced attempt to be inclusive and diverse is getting very annoying. There is nothing wrong with being black or white for that matter so why don't we stop paying so much attention to skin colour.
Yes, I agree. And also Harry is literally at the beginning of the very first book said to be pale as the Quarter Quell
"Rowling purposefully left out those descriptive details so kids could easily relate to the characters." Aaaaaaand there is the Weasley's family.
Harry had green eyes. Not many black people have green eyes. And Lily Potter is specifically stated to have red hair. Harry is white. Hermione is a special case because she actually wasn't ever physically described beyond having frizzy brown hair and buck-teeth (although most black people have black hair rather than brown, so at best, Hermione is likely half black).
To be honest I agree. The black characters in HP are stated very specifically to be black actually ima go google it HOW BOUT THAT
In the books they hint towards Harry and Hermione being at least partially white.
@Dana Kessler where is racism in Kiki's comment? "Not many black people have green eyes" and "most black people have black hair rather than brown" is statistic, not racist statements! If you think staticts and maths is racist, you have problem
Well, then she should have advised on who to cast from the start! Not start changing things now, to fit new trends. Fuck this seriously. It's nothing to do with being racist!
And now that a black actress has been used in the Cursed Child play, Emma Watson never happened. Apparently.
daniel is that you
Kiki, I'm black and have hazel green eyes. Black people have a variation of eye color just like everyone else. My hair is brown with blond and red in it. My brothers hair lightens to red in the sun. There is a whole tribe if blacks in Africa with blue eyes and blonde hair and YES it is being rascist.
Who cares!
Hermione was black in the play, so that may be where the artist got the idea. I assume JK Rowling imagined Hermione to be white; but based on the way her appearance was described, I think it's open to interpretation.
for heavens sake my guy (or girl) the PLAY?!! No one CARES about the freaking CURSED CHILD!!
THANK YOU for saying it.
Same! Hermione's hair was a little too wild...and Harry's described to be quite pale. Also the trend is "Black Hermione" and it makes no sense since there are plenty of strong and detailed black characters like Dean and Angelina. I love them but I do think it was a bit odd...

Yeahhh, I'd say the image we expect to see is thoroughly baked in... so, it's not offensive, but it's pretty confusing, thus not welcomed.

is the world revolves around Black people this days, cause as far as I know, nowadays there has to be black people and every where and if not..things are incomplete, and since black hardly have any history they have to make up and ruin this characters by turning them all into black
What kind of racist bullshit is that ? "since black hardly have any history" ? "Ruin this characters" ? Are you just a troll ? Or are you a genuine racist, or just being an ignorant douche ?
